I feel that blake griffin and deandre are the same player. both are freak athletes but neither one can score on a one on one post up unless its a layup. So I feel that the clippers should trade blake for a big guy that can score in the post or can pick and pop and hit a 15 foot shot like david west did with chris paul. So who would be a guy that the clippers could trade for, and both sides would consider doing the deal? horford? jefferson? Thoughts??

I just wish they would. They will never win a championship with him. They won’t even make it to the conference finals with him. when your starting big guys can only score from put backs and being spoon fed for dunks by cp3 then they will never be able to make it past the 2nd round

Except Blake Griffin can handle the rock and pass the ball. He’s the type of player that can grab a rebound and take it coast to coast. Not many bigs can do that. On the other end, DeAndre Jordan is nothing but a rebounder and athletic shot blocker.

    They aren’t exactly identical.

I said before they should swap him for Aldridge and was heavily negged. I thinkb Portland would have overpaid mightily for him, ie Aldridge and their previous lotto pick. He just isn’t a smart player andi don’t see them winning with him. Either that or trade Jordan, but I doubt anyone is willing to take his contract.

Be allowed to play center at times and take guys off the dribble. He should take PF off the dribble. Blake is a great passer too. I would not deal him. They need a big time wing scorer who can get to the rim. Who can handle the rock almost like a PG when Paul is forced to give the rock up. Crawford shoots 3’s and thats not sufficient. They need a Tyreke type 2 who has a better J than Reke.

Blake is an imperfect player, but he’s not th lane clogger DeAndre is because of his mobility and ability to move without the ball. His jumper needs work, but he’s a good ball handler and passer. I don’t think he’s done developing as a player and in year 1 of the Doc Rivers in LA experiement, shipping him out seems a little premature. He’s started off the season pretty well, and why not see what he does this season? He hasn’t progressed like many had hoped after his dominant rookie season, but I still think he has some growth left in his game…he’s just 24

People who complain about him dunking clearly have never seen a Clippers game. So far this season he is actually making mid-range jumpers AND fre throws. In the Orlando game alone I counted at least 8 made mid-range jump shots. Yes he still has work to do but he certainly isnt averaging 21.7 ppg & 11.3 rpg only on dunks.

It’s a small sample size, but Blake Griffin is actually shooting 43% (12/28) from mid-range this season. IF he can keep that up all season, that’ll be a big improvement from last season when he only shot 35%.

I wish he’d show more improvement as a go-to low post scorer and a better man to man defender, but he’s only 24. I think he still has time to grow. Give Doc more time with him.

What about the griffin for love trade? just throwing it out there. I dont know if minny would do it but I feel like it would definitely be and upgrade overall for the clips

Griffin for Love would be an interesting trade.  I have thought that way too.  Love wouldn’t bring defense but he is a guy who can shoot, rebound, and score.  He and CP3 would work well together and they would still have DeAndre Jordan to block shots, dunk, and protect the basket.

Blake Griffin has some faults but he would be GREAT with Ricky Rubio.  A three big man rotation of him, Pekovic, and Derrick Williams would be nice too.  They might miss Kevin Love’s shooting though.

I would think that the T Wolves would want more back than Blake Griffin.  Maybe Jared Dudley too, or something.

Kevin Love and Dante Cunningham (energy guy and shot blocker) to the Clippers for Blake Griffin and Jared Dudley would be a good trade for both teams.
