NashyMingParticipantESPN article on Bismack Biyombo
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2011/columns/story?columnist=ford_chad&page=Biyombo-110614
I checked the udpated measurement of Biyombo from the Adidas Eurocamp. Biyombo appeared to grow 1/2 an inch since Nike Hoops Summit.
Nike Hoops Summit
6′ 7.75" 6′ 9" 243 7’7" 9′ 3" 4.8%Adidas Eurocamp
6′ 8.31" 6′ 9.5" 245 7′ 6.16" 9′ 3.42" 4.2%Either something is wrong with the measurements or he actually grew 1/2 an inch since then.
I am actually on the side of believing that Bimack Biyombo is indeed 18 (wouldn’t be older than 20) and the growth could be used as a side proof.
I think he can probably grow to 6’11 eventually and be a legit C.

The White MambaParticipantI think hes a center even if he is 6 9. Ben Wallace is 6 9 and has had great success as a center

larbear260Participanthe reminds me alot of a ben wallace type player, not nearly as horrible on offense

Chilbert arenasParticipantDo we know how old he actually is though? And are these in shoes measurements? Can we just get rid of in shoes measurements?

WinterSoldierParticipantthose measurements were both without shoes.

GottaBeTheShoesParticipantWho cares about their heights when everyone in the NBA lies about it anyways.

starpyParticipantToo much is made of height anyways. Ben Wallace is listed at 6’9 but id say 6’7 is more accurate, look when he played with Cleveland, Lebron looks taller than him out there.
Id say Biyombo has a good chance of at least being a servicable role player. If he was just a shot blocker id be worried, but he seems to be quite a capable rebounder as well, and has a tremenodus motor. Players with his ability AND motor dont tend to leave the league early on.
I could see a team like Houston taking a shot with him in late lottery, if he is still around by then, its always hard to predict late lottery, especially this year.

Mr. 19134Participant@Chilbert did you read the post? He gave you the height both with shoes and without shoes and clearly related that to meaning he may be in fact really only 18 years old. For all we know he could really be 16 and just has an extra mature body and wants to be in the league earlier so he lied and said he’s 2 years older.
If somebody found LeBron James or Gred Oden in Africa at age 18 we would all no doubt say he is lying about his age he has got to be closer to 23. And interesting note is that if these measurements are correct his wingspan got shorter by nearly an inch and his standing reach gained a little. This would make sense if he did grow and is working out like they say he is and like the body fat would suggests because his body is still developing he is going to mature into his stature. This might mean his bone structure is tightening up and adjusting itself as necessary.

Nico4nicolasParticipantSize does vary within the same day, if one measurement was conducted during the morning and another during the evening, they will show a difference which could be about 1/2 an inch. As somebody else wrote, size listed in NBA aren’t true so he will be listed at 6’10 like Al Horford or Kendrick Perkins. In my opinion, his size is not an issue for him to play center.

ilike.panochasParticipantIm starting to like this guy in the lottery(considering its a weak class), regardless of age. He seems like a stronger Larry Sanders as a prospect with his wingspan and shot blocking ability and athleticism.

JimmeredYaWabafetParticipantHe reminds me of Hakeem Olajuwon
