OhCanada-ParticipantAs the old saying goes no news is good news, although I do think it’s kind of weird there are basically no rumours (even BS generated ones) about Bismacks free agency. Seems like he is waiting for Ujiri to clear space to sign him by trading either Ross or Caroll for cap space and a replacement wing. He does share the same agent as Derrick Rose so the Knicks could be a possibility if they don’t land Noah but Joakim seems wrapped up. Portland would also be a good landing spot. Trailblazer have shown a willingness to spend and McCollum has actively recruited him. I think it’s safe to say the Lakers won’t be signing him but that never was a reality anyways. What do you guys think?

Sewok15ParticipantIt is being reported that he signed a 4 year deal with Orlando. The Magic are really spending that money but their roster is odd to say the least with Ibaka, Biyambo, Vucevic, Green, and Gordon creating a Sixers like logjam in the front court.

220ParticipantAdding Biyombo to a front court of Serge Ibaka, Nikolas Vucevic, and Aaron Gordon makes me wonder if the Magic are planning on making a deal. If I’m Vucevic especially I’d be anticipating getting traded after these acquisitions. Aaron Gordon at least has hope of playing minutes at the three so perhaps they may keep him around.

Evan_MilbergParticipantI wouldn’t be so sure. You don’t take someone 4th overall to bury them on the bench. I think Green will only play sparingly, and Biyombo and Vucevic play center. Assuming the Magic don’t make anymore moves, I could see Gordon in a sixth man role, with potential to fill in as a starter if Ibaka gets injured or severely underperformes.

Reptilian MonkParticipantLakers look even worse now for Mosgov when they have a young better center going for almost the same price. For Toronto not paying that much for him is a smart move with Poetl being drafted on a rookie contract. Writing was on the wall for Biyombo leaving when they took Poetl with the lottery pick

ghettosermonParticipantIf he’s put on the block Vucevic is a hell of an assset with his current contract of 3 years/36 mil remaining. Nowaday’s that’s Jared Dudley money lol.

festar35ParticipantI think we see the starters as:
C. Biyombo
PF. Ibaka
SF. Gordon
SG. Fournier
PG. PaytonGordon and Fournier are going to be relied on massively to score in that line-up. Vucevic may not be a great defender, but he is a high volume scorer.
Again the league intrigues me as it seems to be sliding away from the traditional scoring guard/6th man off the bench and having guys like Kanter, Jefferson, Randolph guys in that bench role. Vucevic would be perfect in a role like that and at $12mil a yr its hardly starters money now.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantThe contracts handed out don’t make the players any better. Vucevic has always been better than Biyombo, and will continue to be. If the idea of bringing in Ibaka was to allow him to be more versatile, then pairing him in a frontcourt with Gordon and Biyombo (not to mention a non-shooter at point with in Payton) isn’t the best way to do it.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantWith that starting line up the magic will have a hard time scoring over 70 points a game. I don’t think Gordon can play the 3. Hezonja will probably start.

DolanCareParticipantIf this is the team opening day, they will be the worst offensive team in the NBA. Fournier will have to hoiset 20 shots a night for them to even be competitive.

BennyLogParticipantIm sure vucevic will probably start with biyombo coming off the bench.. I think the magic are banking on ibaka to become a reliable offensive option maybe the top scorer

HitsterParticipantLot of money to put on those guys – Green and Ibaka only have one year on their new or remaining deals but the Magic are creating a Philly type frontcourt logjam. Jeff Green can play some SF so minutes can be shared around and I feel a trade may be likely for possibly Gordon. With Gordon’s upside and salary level he becomes a great asset.
