diggs76ParticipantI know it’s early…the draft hasn’t even happened yet…but every year there are players who get drafted high, but never pan out.
For this draft, my bust predictions are:
Myles Turner- ESPN re-played a Texas game a few days ago, and I really focused in on Turner. I wasn’t inpressed. In fact, he kind of scares me with his legs. There is something not quite right in the way he moves. It’s almost like he has trouble with his knees or shins or something, but I forsee nothing but medical problems with Turner. Couple that with the fact he is not very assertive, and I think he’s going to struggle in the NBA.
Bobby Portis- Dude is creeping up the draft boards. I know it’s early, but does anyone else see Noah Vonleh when they look at Bobby Portis? He’s big like Vonleh, but the lack of athleticism and jumping ability will hurt him.
Other potential busts: Sam Dekker (starting to drop), Trey Lyles, Rashad Vaughn and Devin Booker.

herceg_bukuParticipantNot sure who will be a bust, i give every guy a fair chance, some players are just made for NBA and some for NCAA and some for overseas.
However, I will get so much heat for this comment but i dont see Towns being everything that they are making him out to be. He just doesnt impress me that much, I am much more impressed by Okafor and his skill set and strength. Towns to me is like a more athletic Channing Frye almost.

TRC1991ParticipantWay too early to call Noah Vonleh a flop, he’s only 19!

VRod305ParticipantNot sure if you want to call him a bust, but Trey Lyles is going to be one of those guys like an Earl Clark type. He’s basically just a body and six fouls. Sixers took Arnett Moultrie in the first round a few years ago and that’s basically what he was. No NBA offensive skill whatsoever.
If you’re talking about a second-round pick, fine. Not in the lottery though and definitely not No. 4 overall like the Knicks were talking.

VRod305ParticipantPortis is much bigger than Vonleh. Portis was also a really good college player. Vonleh wasn’t even the best player on his crappy college team at Indiana. Vonleh is the type of thing that happens when teams ignore 30-120 college games and take guys based on a two-hour workout.
I mean, I have friends that were really good HS players and would look good running around and shooting unguarded jump shots.

IlladelphParticipantI don’t see Rozier as a 1st round talent. Undersized for a modern NBA pg, not that fast, not great on ball defender, doesn’t shoot off the bounce well, and will not be able to finish on drives. While flop is probably too strong a word for him since he will be late 1st at best, I think he’s gonna wash out quickly.
I think Montrezl Harrell is gonna have a hard time getting minutes too. He is undersized for the 4 position and has no polished game around the basket. The only times I saw Harrell backing down a defender was right before he got rejected by one of the Kentucky bigs. He has no real offensive iso game. He is sized well for the 3 position but does not shoot well enough, nor is he explosive enough. He’s career bench material at best.
