OldSkoolBasketballParticipantWho do you think is the biggest badass, jerk, bad personality, big ego, etc in the nba? Can’t really think of many in basketball. Example like Pacman Jones or TO in football.

BasketballGuru24ParticipantBill Laimbeer- Biggest Badass ever
Deniss Rodman- Lost Case But A Great Hustler
Shawn kemp – Who Laughs and Points at a player after you just dunked on them
Ron Artest- Anger Management Issues
Allen Iverson ( earliar Career)- He was Always in trouble when his career was starting0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 2:16pm #178610

Tha King2121ParticipantDennis Rodman HandsDown!!!!

leftyballer24Participanti would have to say hands down dennis rodman because of his on court and off court behavior

llperezSprewell was an a.ss. He chased Jerome Kersey down with a 2×4 at practice once. He choked his coach at a practice. He pulled a gun on a reporter. He was asked if he was gonna have one of his dogs put to sleep after it mauled his daughter, and he just said “why would I do that?”. He turned down a 3 year 21million contract by saying he had a family to feed.

Meditated StatesParticipantI like Iverson personally but I guess he has enough outside negatives from being in jail, to pulling a gun on his cousin, getting sued for his bodyguards braking some dude off. I like AI though. He is not as self center as TO though. Artest getting buckwild in Dirty D too. I also like Ron as well, cuz I want dude on my team like Kobe do. That sh^t in Detroit was wild though dude set it off. Yeah I hear you on that Sprewell cat. Dude was a nut too. I like him to though lol choked that fool. Rodman did come to mind first but AI got out of the box cuz John Thompson was able to get him out. He went to jail for Mayhem thats real bad.

NYKnicksuperFanParticipantthen any of those “Bad Boy” Pistons from the late 80’s early 90’s if your talkin bout overall then any of the guys mentioned above would be the answer
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 2:25pm #178622
maravich44ParticipantPistons had best trio: Mahorn, Laimbeer and Rodman. Jeff Ruland was no slouch. Maurice Lucas was one tough dude. Not really a jerk, but one of the last guys I’d want to fight. His “fight” with Darryl Dawkins was memorable.
I wouldn’t mess with Karl Malone either. I don’t think he was a bad guy, but he sure was built. Isiah still has scars. Kermit Washington, who put Rudy Tomjanovich in the hospital was guilty of the dirtiest play in NBA history, so he belongs on the list. I gotta agree with Artest. Artis Gilmore was tremendously strong as was Wil.
For guards, Van lier and Sloan were tough as nails. John Starks has to be on the list too. I know most of these names are old, but we are talking about history.

i cant reslly say artest because his teammates liked him and that drink thing, me and my boys would have done the same thing, and he just used to get techs..no big off the court issues

Meditated StatesParticipantHe went to prison for mayhem. John Thompson had to talk the state into letting him out. His moms begged Thompson to get him out. Mayhem is a serious charge. Someone had to get disfigured for that kind of charge.

maravich44ParticipantHow about “Bad News” Marvin Barnes who once beat a man with a tire iron.

BasketballGuru24ParticipantKermit Washingtons Punch Was The Dirtiest Play Ever ……….but I Think This Punch Was Horrible

Stanford hoopsParticipanthe went to prison for a bowling alley fight and was later let outonce it was found out some lied about him being involved……also was a 17year old in that instance
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 2:35pm #178648

llperezHe had every right to be mad and react, but people keep making excuses for him while over looking the fact that he attacked the wrong dude. He ran right by the guy who threw the beer and started whooping on some innocent fan.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 2:37pm #178655
maravich44ParticipantOMG! I’ve heard of refs swallowing their whistles, but that is something else.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 2:37pm #178657
Stanford hoopsParticipantyea he attacked the wrong man..made a mistake paid the price….no other incident like that…i dont see anyone making an excuse for that..i do see people forever bringing it up over and over even though its a mistake that he already paid for..some peopel just wont let things go and wanna hang it over peoples head
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 2:40pm #178663
Stanford hoopsParticipantim suprised no one added john stockten since he was voted dirtest player in the nba 2 years in a row by the players during his playing days
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 2:40pm #178664

Meditated StatesParticipantI would have done the same but that caused a riot in a stadium. He is a good dude all and all but his image is worst than he is.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 2:42pm #178668

llperezI like Ron a lot and I don’t hold that incident over his head at all. He is far from perfect and he had some rough times in Sac as well, but I’ll take him anyday. I just found it funny that even Artest defended his own actions by saying he felt attacked but never mentioned he attacked the wrong dude.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantOmg that punch knocked the ref out cold!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 3:27pm #178709

butidonthavemoneyJerry Sloan (As a coach he squared up to Dennis Rodman. That is badass.)
Karl Malone (Just look at him… From a distance. Get too close and he may knock you unconscious.)
Dennis Rodman (Always sacrificing his body, p*ssing off the other team and headbutts galore.)
Bill Laimber (Another one of Detroit’s bad boys. No regard for the opposition’s safety.)
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 3:29pm #178715

Meditated StatesParticipantHe said example Pacman Jones. Dude behaved on the field he was crazy outside of it butidonthavemoney. So that must be what he meant. Guys who act like asses.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 3:32pm #178719

butidonthavemoneyI edited it just before you responded. Haha.

JoeWolf1Jason Williams gets the retirement badass award, dude flat out went bat-$hit crazy when he retired, toting guns and holding himself up in hotel rooms, killing people while giving people tours of his house!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 4:31pm #178779

llperezyeah, he was a bad person. He used to shoot his own dog’s over lost bets and stuff. He had zero regard for life.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 4:38pm #178790

Meditated StatesParticipantJayson Williams wins this thing. No doubt.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 5:22pm #178830

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantDidn’t Jayson Williams tried to comeback to the NBA like last season?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 5:32pm #178840

knicksfreakParticipantOak would knock you down if you even thought about coming into the paint. Teams wouldnt even think about driving into the lane with Oakley, Mason, and Ewing. Screw the Detroit Badboys. Oakley and Mason would’ve kicked all their asses by themselves. Oakley and Mason made their reputations by being badasses.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 6:48pm #178946

butidonthavemoneyI had forgot about Oakley. He was super badass.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/08/2009 - 6:52pm #178949
j1232eParticipantKarl Malone’s elbow sraight to isah Thomas eyebrow, blood everywhere. Bad boy pistons got a little taste of their own medicine that night.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/09/2009 - 6:13am #179070

Da1potParticipantElgin Baylor was that player in the old days. refs were afraid to call penalties against him because they were afraid they would get beat up. He fought his own teamates and when someone made him look bad, he made them look worse by kicking the crap out of them!
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/09/2009 - 7:51am #179098
rtbtParticipantI think Kermit Washington’s blindside punch on Rudy T was the scariest thing I ever saw on a basketball court. It looked as if he could have killed Tomjanovich. I don’t know if this is true, but the real irony is that by most accounts, Kermit Washington was supposedly a good guy.
If I’m correct, Jayson Williams performed his mayhem, including manslaughter, after he left the NBA.
