Forte IVParticipantWroten was measured at 6’7? Could have sworn it was 6’6" in shoes.

valentineanthony davis: went from guard to pf-c in 2 years. height and length w/ his 7’5 wingspan.
andre drummond: his weight, mobility, speed and quickness combination don’t make sense. the 6’11 C is the fastest player in uconn.
perry jones: a 6’11 pf/sf often said to have guard-like game.
tony wroten: measured at 6’7 w/ the ability to play the pg. overall, moves with great quickness.

seniokasParticipantI say Drummond. He is big, athletic and incredibly quick for a guy his size. It was reported that he had the best 3/4 court sprint numbers in Uconn team ! 6’11 260 guy quicker than Shabazz Nappier, are you kiddin me. He is the biggest freak no doubt.

JNixonParticipantAndre Drummond is, due to his athleticism at his size

417basketballfanParticipantDrummond is the most athletic guy that has entered the draft in the last couple of years. If he could only have a feel for the game like davis does..

ivan138Participantdavid robinson was the fastest players on spurs team for a long time throught his career so its not a surprise to me that andre drummond was fastest at uconn

sheltwon3ParticipantIf Drummonds drops past pick 3, it would just be a shock. I know in a lot of years, he would be possibly the top pick or number 2. A Center with that much athletism and can play some D rarely gets overlooked. No one would blame you if he does not do well because of the lack of big men. Also when you have a big man that is a top athlete above other smaller players. Drummonds could be a bust but maybe not at worse, he is a serviceable big man on most teams or a solid backup. He would have to have injuries or get caught up in drugs to be a bust because you put him with most NBA point guards and it will be insane. UCONN did not have the guards to make him look as good as he should have. Also in time he will mature and his game should grow offensively.

TheLastWordParticipantSheltwon3, Kwame Brown is also 6’11, athletic, and a good defender. Potential is a dangerous word.

nick5354Participantthe Combine will do wonders for Drummonds draft stock.

joecheck88ParticipantI think after workouts Drummond gets a top 2 lock. I really believe he will get looks at 1. I’m not saying he goes 1. Hell, I’m not saying its likely but I don’t think Davis is locked in at 1 100%. Probably like 98% locked in. Haha. Point is, Drummond should rocket to the top stock wise and separate himself from the MKGscand Robinsons of the draft. Same thing with PJ3. He may be a top 5 lock after workouts.

phila9012Participantif he lands with the cavs or the wizards, that would suit him best because he would have an elite young point guard, who could get him the ball.

MalcolmxParticipantDrummond will be the biggest freak. He is fast, strong, quick and has bounce. That is all the athletic categories right their. Also he is still 18 and wont be 19 until August. So he has not maxed out.

JoeWolf1I wouldn’t be shocked if Meyers Leonard tested almost as high as Drummond in speed, the agility drills and vertical leap. Considering he’s the taller player, I think that is pretty freakish.

WolfRobParticipantIf Wroten is 6’7(he isn’t), he is a lottery pick.

Pro 1ParticipantPJIII, ADummond, AMoultrie, TWJr & JOwens are seeming the most athletic pre NBA combine- also the kid from Oregon St. (I forget his name) has some crazy hops.
TWJr is 6’6.5 in shoes (as per the Deron Williams Skills Academy measurements from the summer of 2011 and looks as tall as the 6’7 Terrence Williams (Kings) when standing side by side.
TWJr will go Lottery maybe top 10 after the NBA combine and individual team workouts are completed in my mind.
People soon forget that TWJr was the top rated basketball player for his HS class before he tore his ACL and ADavis grew 7 inches from 6’3 to 6’10.

omphalosParticipantLeonard might come close to Drummond in drills, but if you see them on the court, Drummond’s fluidity and quickness (especially on the defensive end) is ridiculous for his size. It goes Drummond, PJ3, Leonard as the top 3 athletic freaks.

Toronto16ParticipantClose race between Perry Jones and Andre Drummond.

JoeWolf1After reading how Josh Owens tested…I don’t think anyone will beat him accross the board.
35” vert standing 41” max, 21 reps on bench, 3.29 sprint at 6’8” 230 lbs.
I don’t think Jones or Drummond can jump like that, run like that, nor are that strong.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipant"biggest athletic freak in the draft?"
Xavier Gibson? Maybe Bernard James was just that good that Gibson couldn’t find major minutes.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/29/2012 - 8:30am #674730

sheltwon3ParticipantKwame Brown had small hands and lost confidence after dealing with MJ and Collins in washington. He would be a solid big man player if he was the 4th pick instead of number one. Kwame gets more hate than Eddy Curry and Kwame has done more than Curry over the years.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/29/2012 - 8:32am #674732

sheltwon3ParticipantAlso you can’t really compare Kwame Brown to Drummond. Other than being about the same height and being big men, they are very different.

WizardofOzParticipant"Also you can’t really compare Kwame Brown to Drummond. Other than being about the same height and being big men, they are very different."
How are they very different? Drummond’s current offensive game resembles a young Kwame Brown. No offensive moves, plays soft, poor touch, and both are afraid to shoot FT’s.

slash787ParticipantI would say Drummond. Watch his game tape not even his highlights and watch how fast he gets up and down the court. For a guy his size he can move like a guy that is 6’6. There aren’t many players that big that can move that fast.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/29/2012 - 10:59am #674810

TomShoeParticipantDrummond, of course:

When you can do stuff like that, scouts will be drooling over you. Instant top-5 pick, no skill needed.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/29/2012 - 3:46pm #674914

iguapops420ParticipantKwame Brown is a top 5 post defender in the league. Isn’t afraid to be physical and actual used to have some pretty good faceup moves, he simply had tiy hands and no touch whatsoever so he rarely could take advantage of said moves. But to be honest, I see very little difference in what Kendrick Perkins did for Boston’s title run and what Kwame could have. Be big and physical and defend the post and P&R. LAL would actually be smart to bring him in as Bynum’s backup if for nothing else but his terrific pick’s and his ability to guard the pick and roll’s.
Drummond even at his VERY WORST is a 7-6 player with elite athleticism and some pretty good d while being able to get out on the break.

GrandmamaParticipantHow are they very different? Drummond’s current offensive game resembles a young Kwame Brown. No offensive moves, plays soft, poor touch, and both are afraid to shoot FT’s.
Drummond doesn’t have hands of stone, he can actually catch the ball. He’s more coordinated than Kwame ever was, and he’s twice as athletic.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/29/2012 - 9:14pm #674983

omphalosParticipantDrummond might not have defined offensive moves in the post, but he has a really nice handle for a guy that size and his passing is also brilliant so he could even lead the break. His passing alone will prevent him being an offensive liability because he sees the floor so well and can create for others. If you double him, he’ll find the open man.
Plus, if you give him single coverage there’s a good chance he can get a decent look at the rim based on pure athleticism, and I’ve seen him display nice footwork in one college game where he scored about 8 points in the post in the first five minutes before the other team swapped to a zone and doubled him every time he had the ball.
And again, great hands. After reports that he’s lost 22 pounds (which should only increase his athletic attributes) he is far and away the biggest athletic freak.
