Zydrunas Ilgauskas is on his way to Miami to join his friend LeBron James.

Ehhh… he brings size but not much else. Still, they needed size.

Good for the heat, Z can spread the floor a little with his outside shot and still keep up, for the most part, with most centers in the NBA.

I hope we do not get another Gilbert letter…

This is a great signing. Big Z is def solid for the league minimum. He should be the 9th or 10th man

Gilbert wrote an angry note to Z since he is following LeBron to Miami?

I think he learned his lesson after his wallet shrunk yesterday.

I think Dan Gilbert’s net worth is somewhere in the billions of dollars – $100K is chump change for this guy.

I hate this guy even more knowing $100,000 is nothing to him and he probably thinks it was worth it.

With BIg Z signing with the Heat he will be the only guy on the roster that is taller than 6’10”. The Miami Heat need atleast 1 or 2 more big guys so that they can compete with the size of the Lakers or Celtcs in the playoffs.
Who is out there that would give the Heat some size and that would still sign for a small salary?

Off the top of my head, Theo Ratliff, Joel Anthony, Earl Barron and maybe Juwan Howard in the mix as well.

I like Theo Ratliff… I think he can fit well as a guy coming off the bench… That is IF he still wanst to play or his knees would still keep him up…
