DanEboyParticipantDon’t sleep on McCamey…Draymond Green from MSU is one hell of a player too.

TH38L4CKM4M84I think Jason Bohannon, Trevon Hughes, Ryan Evans, Jon Leuer, Keaton Nankivil, Jordan Taylor, Rob Wilson, Tim Jarmusz and Mike Bruesewitz will all make it in the NBA.
Other than these guys i think Evan Turner is the only other Big 10 player to get drafted.0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/16/2010 - 7:13am #256765
GlenTaylorSucksParticipantSorry, TH38L4CKM4M84- I’m a student at UW-Madison, and I think no Badgers are going to make it to the NBA. Europe, however, is another story completely. Leuer is perfect for Euro ball, as is Trevon Hughes. I don’t really see any other guys (other than possibly Bohannon) making the professional ranks.

droppindimes247ParticipantMoore is a straight nightmare. Trust me I am a Spartan fan and watched this guy put his throat on our necks last tuesday. The man has great range and gets hot like the left sink handle. Also he plays under control and lets the game come to him. Nice size for a point and has good dribbling and off the ball skills. This kid also seems to show up on the big stage, the bigger the game the better he seems to play.
As for his teammate Johnson he has a good shot for a big man but there are plenty of guys that can shoot on the next level. He needs an NBA work out regiment at his disposal to beef up. IF he can do that I believe he has all the tools to be a great 3 or 4 on the next level.

BiggysmallsParticipantTheres a handful of players who will make it to the NBA probably, but very few will ever be more then bench players. The Big 10 doesnt have great NBA talent…it has professional talent, but not NBA talent. Its always been like that in a way.
Poor CTW724…people are hating on you hard core here. Why does nobody give out points? They all just take em away. Its so unfortunate. Though I dont agree with alot of your picks, I’ll throw some points your way. Props on Mccamey…I like him alot! He’s gonna be a steal!
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/16/2010 - 9:43am #256805
droppindimes247ParticipantAlways been like that huh….No NBA TALENT….lets just look at the past 15 years……Zach Randolf….Morris Peterson….Jason Richardson…..Glenn Robinson…..Eric Gordon….Charlie Bell….Steve Smith….Bobby Jackson…do i really need to rattle off 20 more players to you. Not to mention on of the greatest players of all time Magic Johnson is from the big ten. Please don’t say the teams don’t have NBA talent you are not a scout, just a man with a keyboard (and bad brain to finger restraint)
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/16/2010 - 10:02am #256807
BiggysmallsParticipantWow, whats with the personal attacks? takin hard earned points away is enough of a punishment aint it, you dont see me rippin on your posts cuz I’m sure I could, anybody could rip on anybodys for that matter, but its unneccasary. and actually my finger restraint is perfectly fine I’ll have you know.
Wow, you named 8 players over the last 15 years, 3 of which were exactly what I said alot of the players this year would be. Bench players. There is nothing wrong with being a solid role player. Calm down sir. Goodnes sakes.
Thats great that they all made it, but your missing my point…rarely are there big time starters from the Big Ten. Yeah you named a few solid starters…woop dee doo. Last I checked, Zach Randolph, Mo Pete, J Rich and Bobby Jackson werent eligible for this draft class…that is what wer’e talkin about right…the 2010 draft? If not, let me know please, cause I would be terribly misinformed.
and Yes, rattle off 20 more solid starters from the big Ten lately. LATELY, not the past 50 years, players who were good in the 1970s and 1980s are irrelevent to this site and to me.
I never said teams dont have NBA talent, I said they dont have great NBA talent, or alot of NBA talent. Theres a difference. Read the screen, not the lines in between unless you are a woman.
I am from the Upper Midwest region, so dont think I am biased in any way. I love watching BIG 10 basketball, I’m just saying that it doesnt seem like there are alot of really solid NBA players from the Big 10. Yeah there are some, but not many. Put down your biasness, open your eyes, be happy for what the big 10 has, and realize that it doesnt have alot of big time NBA talent. Theres really no argument.

getacombmccamey is pretty damn good, but i jus dont know how he’ll translate to the league. i went to the ohio state game last sunday, and turner was guarding him all game and he was not very effective, only finally scoring some points once the game was out of reach. but i think dj richardson and brandon paul are future pros. paul could be a special talent in a few years, u hear the dwayne wade comparisons, and as much as i hate all the comparisons on this site, its really not far off. he is an elite level athlete, already has a great stroke, he just has to become more consistent and put all the pieces together. DJ is fearless, already one of the best defenders on the team, and can shoot. also, their group coming in has pro potential too, especially jereme richmond
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/16/2010 - 10:17am #256810

DanEboyParticipantBrandon Paul could develop into a really good player. I can’t wait to see what Jerome Richmond can do next year.. McCamey was giving up 4′ to Turner so I won’t put a lot of stock into that game. He did have 9 assists though.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/16/2010 - 10:29am #256812

DanEboyParticipantI agree with Biggy. The BigTen is known for tough players, especially guards. But they haven’t had a wealth of NBA super stars lately. Besides Deron Williams the list is thin considering the talent in the Midwest.
Deron Williams
Redd
Richardson
Randolph
Devin Harris
Jamal Crawford
Brad Miller
Mo Pete
Oden
Conley
Head
Eric Gordon
Carl Landry0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/16/2010 - 10:32am #256815

FastAndFuriousParticipantBesides Evan Turner who is sure fire.
Manny Harris
Durrell Summers
Kalin Lucas
E’Tuan Moore
Jujuan Johnson
D’mitri McCamey
William Buford
Draymond Green0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/16/2010 - 10:43am #256819

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantTurner is the only no doubt big time player. I think Manny Harris will have a career, though returning for his senior year would be a good decision. Kalin Lucas is a pro, but I’m thinking he is more likely to be a backup point than a starter. I like McCamey, but he will be as good of a pro as his conditioning. If he gets and stays in top condition, there is no reason he can’t be great. If he allows himself to slide a bit, he’ll either be in the D-League or Europe. E’Twaun Moore is Big 10 LaceDarius Dunn. Good enough to make it, but not good enough to be a lock. Robbie Hummel needs to get stronger to get to the NBA. Summers is an NBA athlete, but he obviously needs another year of work before someone can say definitively that is an NBA player.
The Big Ten has some big men who will get looks. Ralph Sampson III is looking like a guy who will break out next year. Mike Tisdale will never be strong enough to be anything special, but he is a 7-footer with a pretty good offensive repertoire. He’ll get a chance, but needs a lot of luck to stick. JaJuan Johnson is incredibly long and athletic, but he needs to take a page out of the Taj Gibson/Serge Ibaka playbook and carve out a niche by doing the little things really well to compensate for less than ideal strength or skills.

PlatypusParticipantManny Harris
Old talent
Fab 5
Jamal Crawford0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/16/2010 - 11:32am #256824
ctw724ParticipantI like Manny Harris and Deshawn Sims.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/16/2010 - 11:35am #256825
ctw724ParticipantI like Lawrence Westbrook and DeVoe Joseph. Ralph Sampson III and Blake Hoffarber, maybe?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/16/2010 - 11:38am #256827
ctw724ParticipantI like Verdell Jones III, Maurice Creek and Christian Watford as possibilities down the line.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/16/2010 - 11:41am #256828
ctw724ParticipantI’m not sure.
John Shurna can shoot. Juice Thompson is fun to watch. Drew Crawford is very raw. Kevin Coble is talented, but injured. Have there been an NBA players from Northwestern?
I’m not aware of any.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/16/2010 - 11:42am #256829
ctw724ParticipantI’m not familar with their roster, so I couldn’t tell you.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/16/2010 - 11:49am #256831

DanEboyParticipantThe only guy I can think of is Evan Eschmeyer, lol.

getacombalso, i know ppl thought mike davis might b a pro prospect but him and tisdale are just complete pussies. they make me sick. tisdale cant even post up anyone. i’m 6 foot and i feel like i could push him off the block. davis is now a sixth man, the freshman griffey, who i like, is starting over him. next year, im also interested to see what meyers leonard can do, hes like a stronger tiz, hopefully he’ll have some balls

ctw724ParticipantTune in tonight to watch PURDUE vs. OHIO STATE. This could very well be the game of the year.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/19/2010 - 11:17am #258287
bigsby22Participantfrankly while the big 10 is one of the best college basketball conferences, NBA talent is not there specialty exceptional college players yes, but most big 10 teams are just that, teams they have 5 guys they can start that play good basketball together, but Evan Turner is the only guy that has a solid chance at the next level, and for him to be anything at the next level his 3 point shooting ability needs to increase greatly, he is one of the best slashers the game has seen in a while, but he is only a true threat from 17 feet in, to be a 2-3 combo guy he needs more consistancy from deep
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/19/2010 - 1:04pm #258321

JNixonParticipantI think Mike Davis is soft too getacomb lol..But he can be a good player in the future. He has some Anthony Randolph type skills.
