BasterdInABasketParticipant1: Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern and Minnesota
2: Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Purdue, Indiana and IllinoisIn men’s basketball, according to sources, the Big Ten could play a 16-game conference schedule by taking a model similar to those used by the Big 12 and Southeastern conferences. In those leagues, teams play each division opponent twice and then single games — three at home and three on the road — against teams in the opposing division.
Looks like Mich St got a pretty nice draw while the second division has 4 of the leagues usual tourney teams.

ChewyParticipantMSU is on one side while Illinois, Ohio State, Purdue and Wisconsin are on the other side? That doesn’t seem too balanced. But then again this would be created for football purposes and bball would just follow suit. Everything in the Big10 is done because of football.

BasterdInABasketParticipantI would maybe like to see Purdue and NW switch and it would be pretty balanced both for football and basketball

T-Wolvesfan13ParticipantIt is not meant to be even for basketball. This was all done for football! In football it is even so they don’t care about anything else because football is where most of the money is. I think it is bull, but what can you do?
