HitsterParticipantAs well as watching the draft, we’ve had the little matter of the European Union referendum in the UK. So I’m staying up trying to watch both events at the same time.

XYRYXParticipantThey voted to leave the EU.
As a german I see what they don’t like about sharing ‘our’ problems but to be honest, this could be an economical disaster waiting to happen for them in the long run and long run could mean 5 years to 20 years from now. Good luck trying to export your goods and stabilising you industry with your already very high vages and not beeing part of several european companies anymore.
I’m almost sure car production in the UK is now a thing we’ll never see again on a reasonable price, not implying Rolls, Bentley, McLaren etc. where we don’t talk production but manufacturing.
A sad day for our european community but maybe just the start to even more things to follow since everybody seems to like the idea of beeing by himself nowadays.

EndlessknightParticipantI’m in shock. Thought for sure “remain” would win.

HitsterParticipantWe voted out 51.9% to 49.1% and I’m delighted. Scotland’s small population voted to stay, they may push for a second referendum and I’d happily let them go.
