fastforward322ParticipantThe Big East doesn’t seem so tough after today’s games. Sad though because I picked most of them to advance lol

JNixonParticipantYea they’ve failed me so far…

knicksfan7ParticipantVillanova played like crap, only had them in the sweet 16, same as G’town. Marquette I had winning. Notre Dame I had losing. So I am 2-2 for the Big East today with Syracuse, Louisville, Pitt, and WVU all winning tomorrow. I think the Big East is a big overrated to get 8 teams and it is not the best conference in the Country, that goes to the Big 12 this season.

JoeWolf1The Big East has as many wins as the Pac-10 so far.

Charlie SheenParticipantThe Big East is the toughest conference in America every year they have the best regular season, most competition and the best tournanment they rarely have the best team but they can fill the top 25 with 8 or 9 every year…..

whyyouhatingParticipantThe big 12 was the best conference to me this year, but I thought the big east was a close second. They are doing bad. Gtown shock me with that loss, my bracket is a mess. This year is so wide open. UK looked good I have them as my champ
they hit 3’s today. So I got that going for me.0 - Posted on: Fri, 03/19/2010 - 2:41am #267516
tonyl33ParticipantThe big east hardley has the best teams in the nations but like what GeeMoney said, they have the toughest schedule. Teams in the big east are not the most dominate but on any givin night half the teams in the Big East would be able to knock out the elite teams and also lose to the worst of them. Their play is not consistant enough. Honestly, ND wasn’t going to go far but GT, man that was a shocker. O well, had them losing to Turner anways.

rtbtParticipantGeorgetown and Notre Dame go down while Villanova just barely escapes!
Subjective judgments on who is the best are always difficult. The Big East is obviously a very good, highly competitive conference. I happen to think that people, including the so called experts, tend to overrate those teams they always see on TV. And which conference receives the most television exposure? It’s the Big East.
Ohio University just didn’t beat Georgetown, they tore them apart from beginning to end, scoring 97 points and making it look easy. What does that tell you?

LawDeeZeeParticipantNobody was saying Georgetown was overrated when they manhandled Duke! … and I didn’t hear any overrated talk when they beat Syracuse in the Big East tournament, even though they’d lost to them twice previously.
Marquette and Washington went down to the wire … Notre Dame’s tying three pointer was halfway down … a couple bad breaks and now the whole conference is overrated, haha — if Cuse and West Va go out in the first round I’ll give you your overrated

rtbtParticipantFor my money the Big East is an excellent conference, but they are overrated. Ohio University just didn’t beat Georgetown, they tore them apart from beginning to end, scoring 97 points and making it look easy. What does that tell you? I know what it tells me, the other conferences are better than we were led to believe.

LawDeeZeeParticipantOr that Georgetown for whatever reason just didn’t come to play! Ohio played an unbelievable game, they shot the ball from 3 out of this world …
… so what does this lead us to believe about the ACC? Did you see the game when Georgetown beat Duke? It was even more one-sided then the game Ohio won yesterday. Georgetown is a very capable, yet inconsistent team who showed yesterday just how up and down they’re capable of being.
I heard Doug Gottlieb on Mike & Mike this am an he addressed this very topic, stating that Marquette and Washington was a toss-up, Notre Dame and Old Dominion was a toss-up to him, and that Georgetown losing was they only real shocker.
Let’s not get carried away

whyyouhatingParticipantWest Virgina is looking bad right now, they look like they don’t want to play there getting out hustled by a 15 seed early in this game. Down by 10 7 mins into the game.
