RUDEBOY-ParticipantMy Top 6 would be 1.Chet 2.Pancho 3. Hardy 4. Smith 5.Jokic 6. Ivey . I’m still doing research and evaluation on the other prospects, Becuz after those 6 players, the other guys r kind of similar. Since 2016 Coach Hamilton have seen 6 of his former players get drafted in the first round. John Butler could be next in line. He’s a 7 footer with guards like skills. But needs to add some muscles he weighs only 190 lbs. A sleeper to keep an eye on is Jayson Tchicamboud,a 6’5 combo guard from France.

OhCanada-ParticipantSo I don’t know if I’ll make a board this early but there has been a few players I wanted to discuss.
Benedict Mathurin. He had 30 against a really stingy and physical Illinois team. Mathurin’s game is very seamless. He doesn’t force shots. Makes the right pass but doesn’t force those either. One of the best on ball defenders in the draft and is constantly pressuring the ball. Very pesky. He’s really good. See him having an immediate impact at the next level, at least a floor like KCP.
Kenneth Lofton Jr. Everytime I see him play the one thing that stands out is has ball IQ. Hes a big guy and hos weight is an obvious concern but he really knows how to play this game and how to use his size to his advantage.
Aminu Mohammed. Seen him play against Syracuse. He was outstanding. Very versatile two way guard kind of played out of the high zone. Torched up Syracuse’s zones, made alot of good reads. After the game Ewing said he would be Big East player of the game so he’s definitely on watch.
Johnny Davis. Watched a few of his games now since he was brought up on this board. He’s very intriguing because he definitely has that finesse game like a Tyler Herro/Devin Booker however he’s also very gritty like a Josh Hart type player. You don’t see that dynamic often from perimeter players. He has heart. I think he’s a lotto pick.

NorrinRaddParticipantintrigueing watch lists… Kenneth Lofton, Jr. is an interesting prospect. Very old school, plays good bully ball. Aminu Mohammed could be special. I’ll throw out my next tier for some more obvious prospects to watch, which has both those prospects there:
Walker Kessler – Auburn
Gibson Jimerson – St. Louis
Kyle Lofton – St. Bonaventure
Buddy Boeheim – Syracuse
Oscar Tshiebwe – Kentucky
Jeremy Sochan – Baylor
James Akinjo – Baylor
Izaiah Brockington – Iowa State
Matthew Cleveland – Florida State
David Roddy – Colorado State
Michael Foster – G League Ignite
Marjon Beauchamp – G League Ignite
Mojave King – Adelaide
Kenny Lofton, Jr. – Louisiana Tech
Essam Mostafa – Coastal Carolina
Marcus Bagley – Arizona State
Christian Koloko – Arizona
Drew Timme – Gonzaga
Andrew Nembhard – Gonzaga
Jamaree Bouyea – San Francisco
Jaime Jaquez, Jr. – UCLA
Johnny Juzang – UCLA
Michael DeVoe – Georgia Tech
Dereon Seabron – NC State
Blake Wesley – Notre Dame
David Jones – DePaul
Ryan Nembhard – Creighton
Justin Lewis – Marquette
Aminu Mohammed – Georgetown
Paul Scruggs – Xavier
Justin Moore – Villanova

OhCanada-ParticipantWatching Jamarion Sharpe right now for WKU. 7’5 big man with very good feet. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone with his height be that agile and coordinated. He’s been diving for lose balls as well. He’s a JR.

OhCanada-ParticipantAnother guy to look out for is John Butler. FSU has had a slow start and he’s been inconsistent while he’s learning the right way to play but he has been getting starts here and there and Leonard Hamilton wants to play him. He’s kind of like a taller version of Chris Boucher at this point.

JD Davison – Not a big fan of his game but the guy has shocking athleticism. Not just jumping high the guy takes 8 foot hopsteps lol.Just some notes…
Oscar Tshiebwe’s been a monster and should be on all these boards.
Jaden Hardy’s overrated. The dribble, dribble, shoot, flop game has been taken out. He’s talented so how will he adapt? I don’t have him on any boards because I wouldn’t pick him.
I like Bryce Mcgowen’s game but I think he’s too small. Needs to hit the gym, it would really allow him to finish strong and play with more confidence.
Taran Armstrong’s good but not aggressive enough.
Big fan of Daimion Collins but he’s not getting minutes.
Orlando Robinson is a guy to watch out for. His shooting form and mechanics are perfect.
Hard to gauge Jean Montero’s value but he’s a sleeper for sure.
Kennedy Chandler will rise. He’s playing the right way in Tennessee.

NorrinRaddParticipantA couple other players that are worth watching not mentioned here are Tari Eason (LSU) and Christian Braun (Kansas).

OhCanada-ParticipantAnybody else get a chance to watch David Roddy play. Very unique player. 6’5 255 and not fat. Athletic, quick efficient and can shoot and handle a bit. Most plays a floor spacer or post player on offence but is most dangerous in transition. Haven’t watched him enough to tell what he is defensively, Colorado St. usually has him guarding the opponents big.
1+- Posted on: Sat, 01/08/2022 - 5:44am #1253798

NorrinRaddParticipantYes, he is closer to Gary Trent Jr. than Ron Harper Jr.’s game imo.

NorrinRaddParticipantNice! I’m posting my 2.0 in 4 more days, as it looks way different since December 15th.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 01/14/2022 - 10:38am #1253869

OhCanada-ParticipantI like Sochan too, he plays his role well at the college level but in the NBA I think the worry is he kinda becomes todays version of a tweener. Not long enough or big enough to be an ideal C and not enough perimeter skill or agility to be a forward. Nowadays players that can only play the 4 position have a hard time having success in the NBA. Like Obi Toppin or Marvin Bagley. Versatility is the key to getting on the floor. Being able to play multiple roles.
