SkalAndJamalParticipantSuper athletic too. Some are comparing him to Channing Frye but all Frye does is stretch the floor and can catch and score from the high post. Skal stays playing above the rim, can block shots, rebound pretty well, and can get buckets from all spots on the floor.

Robb_CParticipantWatch Channing Frye early in his career with knicks, I agree frye has settled into a stretch four later in his career.. Early in his his career he played extremely similar to Skal now.. Watch some footage of Frye at Arizona and during his rookie contract with knicks

SkalAndJamalParticipantFrye made some excellent plays but also got to take an account it’s a highlight reel. For example frye never was too interested in playing D is something you might not see on a mix. Even a mix can make it look like John Henson plays like a young KG.

Robb_CParticipantThat’s obviously true, but thats the only footage i could find on the net.. Do me a favor go watch frye during his Arizona years try to watch him play vs Illinois and talk about it to me again.. Some of you guys are too young to remember Frye in college but he was very solid two way forward.

Robb_CParticipantFryes stat line his last game in college… 24 points 12 rebs 6 blocks.. Watch the film homie, reason why Frye fell off as a defender was his lack of strength in the post..

SkalAndJamalParticipantI would say it’s hard to explain but Frye and Skal is like Henson and Davis to me. Some develop into great college players(Frye and Henson) while others develop into (Skal and Davis).

negguaryParticipantI just hope he plays LOL so my sixers don’t have to land the number 1 pick in order to get Simmons, Ingram or Brown. No offense to Skal but we already have too many bigs LOL. If he plays theres no doubt that ALMOST any other team than the sixers will take him first putting less pressure on us to land NO1 securing which would secure us one of those dynamic wing which our team is in dire need of.

SkalAndJamalParticipanthmmm i would suggest not stressing about this until after the lottery has been chosen.

SubZeroParticipantI’m really glad another active UK fan is on the board, especially because of posts like this
A less obvious note: EJ Floreal might be able to give some good minutes off the bench this year. Won’t be a playmaker but is athletic and hustles like crazy from what I’ve seen this summer

Rip256You should be on board then with the ‘Seven-Foot Soprano’ aka Isaac Humphries.

SkalAndJamalParticipantI’ve met Fran. He’s overly optimistic and he knows it. So chill out. Fran also said he needs to develop athletically if he wants to stay in the league. That’s a pretty broad statement.

OhCanada-ParticipantOffensively Skal reminds me of a young Chris Bosh. Bosh always operated out of the mud/high post with that jab step. If you gave him space he would knock down a jumper. If you pressed he would drive. He also has better range than Bosh did at the same age and projects to be better defensively.
Nice prospect all around should be a tight race between him and Simmons for the top pick.
