DondiJohnParticipanthttp://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources–magic–glen-davis-reach-buyout-agreement-011002950.html
The Orlando Magic has reached an agreement on a contract buyout with forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis, sources told Yahoo Sports. Davis had been mentioned as trade bait for a while, but wasn’t dealt before Thursday’s trade deadline. Davis is being paid $6.4 million this season and $6.6 million next season. The 6-foot-9, 289-pounder averaged 12.1 points and 6.3 rebounds this season for Orlando.
Such NBA teams as the Los Angeles Clippers – where he would be reunited with former Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers – Brooklyn Nets, Portland Trail Blazers, Miami Heat and the Golden State Warriors could be teams attracted to a player like Davis. Davis would have to clear waivers following a buyout to become an unrestricted free agent.
Would be nice to see him reunited with Doc Rivers and be the backup to DJ and BG

Chilbert arenasParticipantRockets seems like the perfect fit. Asik and Davis off the bench would be the best bench front court in the league along with the fact that he only wanted to go to Orlando to play with Dwight since they were such good friends. Not too sure they still are friends after all that went down though.

KHAM83ParticipantLet’s not forget Atlanta. They still have their medical exemption of 5 million from Al Horford. They need depth in the frontcourt and I’m heading they’re going to buyout Jamison.

GrandmamaParticipantGood move for Orlando. Gives Nicholson a chance to play, and also gives them a better chance at a higher pick.

qDizzle32ParticipantThe Clippers would be foolish to not sign him. They have a terrible 2nd string frontcourt that just got even worse after throwing away Jamison and Mullens

DondiJohnParticipantDoc Rivers seemed to value Ryan Hollins’ defense and athletic ability over Jamison’s veteran presence and Mullen’s stretch abilities.I thought I was going to see Jamison around 10-15 mins per game for the Clippers but I was wrong. Clips really need to sign Big Baby especially Jamison was shipped to the Hawks and Mullens to the 6ers

TyroberParticipantWonder how much he gave up because he isn’t going to get 6mil as a free agent.

HitsterParticipantDon’t the Nets still have the Lopez exemption of $5.25 million aprox. How they have gone all in, I would not bet against them adding Davis plus there is the Boston link with PP and KG there.

NYK2010ParticipantNot that the Knicks are going anywhere but they could use him.
Amare is hurt a lot, Chandler & KMart can’t hit jumpers.
Now I hear KMart is hurt again smh team can’t stay healthy all year it seems.

aamir543ParticipantHe’s definitely going to the Nets, they can offer by far the most money because of the disabled player exception they have from Lopez’s injury. And Prokhorov doesn’t seem to give the slightest shiit about the luxury tax, so I can assume that Davis would have a lot of leverge in negotiations.
