McWinningParticipantwho do you think has a better chance of redeeming their career after all of the hype between Robert Swift, and Gereld Green?

BasketballGuru24ParticipantGerald Green if he is placed on a right team he can flourish. Trying to recover from a injury and play the same is harder

McWinningParticipanti agree but i still think Robert Swift can be a servicable player in the nba.

JNixonParticipantGerald Green. Robert Swift sucks, Im sorry.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 08/08/2009 - 3:06pm #197955

GoodbyeChandlerParticipantits a lot tougher for centers to be considered great in the league than wing players. i think green could develope into a great player and swift is just a straight up bum.

QHaynes20Gerald Green can have a great career as a dunker/defender
Robert Swift is just terrible. He is a 14th man off the bench at best

McWinningParticipantit takes longer for big men to develop which is why i think he has a chance. if he actually decides to put some effert into the game (instead of spending all his time on tattoes) i think with the talent he still has he could be a decent big. remember injuries have hurt him and if it wasnt for injuries right now i think he could be a solid player.

JNixonParticipantWhat talent does Robert Swift have?? Wow, he has always sucked. Even when he was in high school. Sebastian Telfair blocked his shot in the Mickey D’s game. He runs very slow, isnt polished on offense or defense, he has a low Bball IQ, and he’s weak. The only thing he OK at is getting rebounds.

McWinningParticipantrebounds yeah and hes athletic too.

KevinDurantRocksParticipantGreen will be good in an offensive system if he does’t just shoot jumpshots
0 - Posted on: Sat, 08/08/2009 - 3:20pm #197978

JNixonParticipantHe’s not that athletic, he’s a very medioce athlete.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 08/08/2009 - 3:22pm #197979
McWinningParticipantwhat im saying is if he can stay healthy and actually work aty his game with his rebounding he will be a solid player. still a question mark that he will put work into his game.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 08/08/2009 - 3:30pm #197987

JNixonParticipantHe isnt an NBA player from what I’ve seen, outside of his size. Gerald Green at least shows that he can have a role in the NBA, as a scorer.

QHaynes20Robert Swift- 20th man off the bench in the NBA

gatorheelsParticipantDang Swift is getting bashed harder than John Bryant on this site now. haha
0 - Posted on: Sat, 08/08/2009 - 3:41pm #197996
QHaynes20He is super slow now and his offensive skills are still raw…He is not gonna rebound and will forever be in NBA History…as a bust

Bryant24ParticipantGreald Green all the way robert swift should of been out of the league he s big draft bust he souldve beeen dropped when they were the sonics.

McWinningParticipant4pts and 4rebs isnt awful. thats Kwame Brown esqe numbers.

JNixonParticipantI would hope your joking my friend lol..
0 - Posted on: Sat, 08/08/2009 - 4:04pm #198011
McWinningParticipantno Kwame brown is a servicable third string center. Swift will probably be evan better.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 08/08/2009 - 4:16pm #198023

JNixonParticipantBrown was the 1st pick in his draft, and Swift was 12th. They both suck, and they are suppose to be starters at the 5. 4pts and 4 rebs is bad, its bad for the average player, let alone for players that were picked in the lottery. You cant seriously justify 4 pts and 4 rebs as good.

Adi JosephIf you could give both full health for their entire careers, Swift would have almost certainly been a better player. He could have developed into a serviceable starter or at least solid backup, while Green hardly qualifies as a roster-worthy player. But injuries have destroyed Swift, and he may no longer be NBA material at all.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 08/08/2009 - 4:26pm #198027

JNixonParticipantHe may have justified getting a roster spot, but he was never a player that showed alot of anything to me. Never. He should never play more than about 7-8 minutes a game, even in full health. He honestly has no tools as a player, outside of rebounding, and thats only because he’s 7 feet tall.
Green has a good jumper, and he’s a monster athlete. Teams will take chances on him because its obvious he has alot of offensive talent and potential defensive ability (if he tried).

McWinningParticipantit would be a whole different story if he was healthy though.
