Although it is highly unlikely for either team to win it all, which do you guys think has the better chance?

    Memphis Grizzlies or Atlanta Hawks?

I would say the Grizz because you need quality big men to win in the playoffs.  While Atlanta has Al Horford who is a more than adequate bigman, you need to pair him with another better than average player, Jason Collins, and sliding Josh Smith to the 4 isn’t cutting it.  Also, while Al Horford is good, I don’t think I would turn to him for that go to bucket like I would Randolph.  Also, I just don’t like Joe Johnson’s demeanor on the court, too soft.  The Grizz are a better defensive team and just seem to play a more complete game at this point during the playoffs.  And you know what they say, defense wins championships.

However, I don’t see either team taking it all this year, just like you said it is highly unlikely.

Grizz have a better chance, because of there frontcourt and defense.

Of the teams left the Grizz have the best defensive backcourt and best big man tandem (at least based on the past few weeks), one of the best defensive players/glue guys in the league (Battier), guys that can score in a variety of ways (Mayo and Young), and a wild card hustle guy (Arthur), plus a fierceness we haven’t seen fro anyone else in the postseason. They’re not championship material but they’re straight unpredictability/high reward potential makes them a better pick than the Hawks.

I think that the TRUE contenders are Miami and Boston in the East and LA in the West.  I think we are the 4th best team with the best low-post go to guy in Z-Bo and the best all-around center in Marc Gasol.  I like Conley as a point guard, OJ as an X-factor, to go along with great defense and great depth.  I think the Mavs, Thunder, and Bulls are a notch below them. The Bulls should just be happy if they can get past the Hawks.

Who wins it all? It will depend on match ups.  If Shaq can give the Celtics some good minutes in this series and 25 good minutes the rest of the way then they can win it all.  Before the playoffs started I had Miami over LA.  I think the winner of Miami/Boston will go to the Finals. Now, I think that LA will win the west, but I see Memphis giving the Lakers a great series (LA in 6 or 7 games).  If Shaq can get it going then Boston has a chance to beat beat the Lakers in the Finals.  If Bynum plays great then LA wins the title.  If Z Bo and Gasol keep on dominating inside then I can see the Grizzlies in the Finals and being a real threat.  Miami will win it all if they get consistent scoring off the bench and great low post defense from their centers.  This Heat team was built for the playoffs (two great first options, a solid third option, great team defense, and some good  shooters).  If Udonis Haslem comes back and if James Jones can stay hot, I really  like the Heat.
