Who are the best shooters in this year’s draft? They saying is every team needs one. However, I’m still watching Trajan Langdon light it up in Europe.

clearly, Steph Curry is the best shooter in this draft class, along with the likes of Wayne Ellington and others….
Eric DEVENDORF will most likely spend his future playing horse with Trajan Langdon over in Europe….which surely isn’t a terrible alternative

I never said Devendorf was the best shooter in college basketball. I simply asked to name them. I agree, Curry is byfar the best shooter. Not so sure about Ellington, though. I will say Devendorf is probably in the top five in the nation.

Dude Really? I think everyone on this Web site would agree that if you don’t know who Hubbie Brown is….. you don’t know much about basketball…… Hubbie Brown is one the the best NBA coaches ever, and the best color analylist in the industry.

Josh Carter is a lights out shooter and may find a reserve role a 3-point specialist, but Curry is definately the best shooter in this draft.

Ok, I’ll give Ellington a pass, because there’s too much room for debate. Budinger isn’t a great shooter. I doubt he could outshoot Devendorf or the guy from NDS. Meeks is more of a scorer, he doesn’t resemble shooters such as Devo, Curry, Langdon, Sam Jacobson, ect. Neither does Christmas.

dhamp- how can we take you seriously if you are gonna mention Sam Jacobson as one of the all-time great shooters? He was a good shooter who never did anything in the nba. I would definitely put Budinger in there with him.

meeks is a scorer,but he’s also a shoot first guy,he isn’t that good of the bounce,how about 10 threes in one game,christmas’ also shoot first guy,at times he really struggles of the bounce,and budinger i’ll just stick with llperez on that one

Curry all the way but I know that is the safe pick. I would also say Abrams but he is too short though. Also D Hamp you too kinda lose credit when you mention Sam Jacombson when I think Chase is similiar with more athleticism.

Maybe my mind is just completely blank right now, but if people are talking about the former Stanford star and 1st rd Suns draft pick, then its Casey Jacobson. We all know Steph Curry is the best shooter in the draft and I for one am hoping he shoots the lights out in the NBA. Also, DHAMP, you might as well look it up next time, but the guy from North Dakota State is named Ben Woodside. He is a pretty good shooter, but he’s not that high. Jack McKlinton is outstanding, Ellington has a beautiful shot and can create just enough to get it off. McAlarney is a great shooter, but he probably will not be on a roster next year.

espn365- Sam Jacobson was before Casey Jacobson. If I remember correctly, he came out of Minnesotta in the late 90’s was a late first round pick by the Lakers and was out of the league within a few years. That’s just off of memory so if I’m mistaken then my bad.

yea if jj reddick is having trouble in the nba, devendorf has no chance. but some of the best shooters r curry, ellington, mcclinton and christmas.

The reason why I say this is because just the fact that he doesn’t need to focus to shoot the ball. It’s almost like a dashup form like Eddie House. No conscious whatsoever. Just confidence. That’s what makes him the best shooter in all of college basketball.

I don’t think Sam Jacobson is better than Chase Budinger. No way. I was mentioning good shooters of yesteryear. Sam could really shoot it for Minnesota though.

Stephen Curry is the best shooter in this draft. Wait til they can’t put three people on him and he catches passes from a double teamed player. Budinger is way better than Jacobson. Budinger has a better mid range game too to go along with being more athletic.

The kid from North Dakota St. you mentioned in the first post is Ben Woodside, who based on his performance in the tournament has a chance to be a late second round pick. I don’t think it’ll happen, but he wouldn’t be a bad option between 50-60.

As far as pure shooting goes, the answer to this question is Jack McClinton, but I doubt he’ll get drafted either.

McClinton is more of a streak shooting who caught a little recognition near the end of the season. He’s not a pure shooter though. He reminds me of Abrams. They can catch fire, but more often than not, they’re shoot is off.
