Who do you think the best shooter in this draft is outside of Curry?

I would have to go with my man Dionte Christmas hands down!!! He has proven alot to everyone and I think he could really suprise alot of people throughout the years.

Wayne Ellington has the purest jumper by far. Silky smooth nothing but net.

He might be one of the best scores but not pure shooter….This goes to Ellington….But honestly, you can say that curry is more of a scorer than shooter also, b/c he shoots a high volume of shots to get his points…

Well you have a good argument with Wayne but Danny has never been a guy to look for his shot too much to me. When you see Dionte on the floor you now he could easily get you 10 quick points/ game.

Yeah Green isnt really known as a shooter. Harden is good but he’s probably in the scorer category. Budinger or even Daye could be top 5.

Green is a good shooter too with a quick release.

While I think that Wayne Ellington is a good jump shooter, I think this is where Stephen Curry excels and why people are so high on him. I think he can get his shot off and is a smart player, and I would rank him as the best shooter in this draft class.

Now that I can read, I see you said out side of Stephen Curry. Than, I would go with Wayne Ellington like my man before said, my bad.

Ellington is the best shooter. Budinger can hit 3’s but somehow has no mid-range game. Hard to understand.

He may not be the BEST shooter, now, but I’m gonna bet his 3P% will be the highest of any player in this draft.

Daquan Cook? Ellington is much better off the dribble than Cook. Cook is a true Mr. Bigshot though.

It would be a close call bt/w Jack McClinton & Jimmy Baron. After comparing their statistics though i’d have to go with Jimmy Baron of Rhode Island! The guy is a lights out shooter. I got a chance to watch a couple of his games this year (Ask Coach K about him, he went 8-10 on 3s against them). At the Portsmouth Invitational (that’s the nba draft camp for potential 2nd rounders for those of you who don’t know) Baron set tournament records for three-pointers made in a game (nine) and overall (16). He also hit 45.6% on 241 attempts during the season. Jack McClinton hit 45.5% but he shot 41 less three pointers than Baron. Jack McClinton also won the 3point contest this year. Wayne Ellington & Danny green are great shooters as well. Ellington hit 41.7% & Green hit 41.8%. Ellington however took 20 more three pointers so i’d give him the edge b/c he attempted more threes and still almost had a better % than green. Dionte Christmas isn’t even in the discussion he only hit 34.8% of his 3s & he chucked it up there 293 times

Curry is the best shooter overall (can shoot on the move)

Ellington is an equally great spot of shooter, but not as good as Curry at shooting off the dribble.

Over the last two seasons, McClinton has probably made more clutch 3’s than any player in college. Many of his 3’s were beyond NBA range, with a few being as far as 30 ft. He is ice water when it comes to making big shots. Don’t let his size fool you, he has one of the best step backs or as some people say jump back shots at any level.

I’m just not sure if there is a better shooter, outside of curry, than darren collison. the kid is like 80%+FT, 50%+FG, and 40%+ 3FG (at least two years ago he was… he shot 39.4% from 3, 51% FG overall and almost 90% FT in 2008-2009)

he has a fairly quick release, and more importantly, he shoots from behind his head so he has a tough shot to block.

I’m not saying he’s definitely better than ellington, mcclinton or baron, but he should definitely get some consideration. He has a great stroke.
