valentineIs it Bradley Beal, Doron Lamb, Jeremy Lamb, Austin Rivers, or Terrence Ross?
Who gets drafted 1st?
How would you rank them?
Any sleepers at the SG position?

cabbycabParticipant1. J. Lamb
2. Beal
3. Rivers
4. D. Lamb
5. T. Ross
I think Jeremy Lamb is the real deal. He is a good shooter with athletism.
I’m not a fan of Rivers. He is a chucker with good range, but stil not a good shooter. sub 70% FT i believe. I am intrigued at how he will do at the next level however.

MattHoopsParticipantI think Beal is lower risk.. I think he is going to be a solid pro. Maybe not a star, but very solid for a lot of years. I also think D. Lamb will be a solid player too. Jeremy Lamb has the most potential. He could be a star or be a bust. I do like him though and would rank him one.
1. J. Lamb
2. Beal
3. D. Lamb
4. Rivers
I think Dion Waiters could also be a nice role/bench player..

chocboywndrParticipantBeal will get drafted first hw had the best tournament and is a good athlete a la Gordon.
If I am ranking them by who I think will be the best in five years
1) Jeremy Lamb- Once he fills out a he has all the skills and athletic ability ideal height with long arms also, not sure he has menatlity to be number one option but I think he will be able to both score and defend his position at high level.
2)Terrance Ross- Very similar to Lamb without the extra long arms. His handle is not as good as Lambs but I think he will fix that.
3)Brad Beal- Has all the qualities that you would need except ideal height. Reminds me alot of Billups in college but Billups was eventually forced to the 1 for his best success in NBA.
4)Austin Rivers- Seems like a pure gunner much like J. Crawford. Doesn’t really seem interested in doing anything but scoring. He could end up being best pure scorer of the group but unless mentality changes see him as 1 dimensional.
5)Doron Lamb- Smart player will be in the league for many years. Does nothing great does nothing poor. A good spot up shooter I think he will become a role player on a good team.

surveParticipantI agree with you guys that say Lamb should be the 1st off the board. I like him.
My biggest thing is attitude and fortitude. I know you guys love Austin Rivers, but to me, I dont like what I see from him as far as his attitude and fortitude. When he is on offense and everything is going good for him he is fine. When things are going bad he doesnt look so tough. He is not a bad defender but thats all mental for him too, he seems disinterested at times.
Give me…J. Lamb, Beal, Ross, D. Lamb, Rivers.

OnionsParticipantI kind of like DJO. I wouldn’t take him above those guys, but he’s strong, athletic, improved his shooting a good deal, and those damn Marquette guards always seem to turn out okay in the pros.

Future_Scoutdamn, doron lamb > terrence ross… SMH, specially at the fool that didn’t name him top 5, wow
beal/lamb
terrence ross (my fave prospect right now)
rivers
doron
buford (sleeper, glad to see him move up to 1st in the 2nd recently). very good all around. wouldn’t surprise me if he ends up being the better than doron, and maybe even rivers. great size

bigheavyParticipantYeah Buford will be a good guard, he is highly underated…

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantis not a better prospect than Wanye Ellington. They are the same guy. No way anyone should have him above T.Ross, Rivers or maybe even Waitors and Burford. Buford is bigger and just as good a shooter. Don’t forget all the problems he had at Kentucky his freshman season. Besides how many mocks, including the one on this site have him going after Waitors.
There will be hell to pay when the Cuse nation on this site get wind of this chicanery.

4. Rivers

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantYou have J.Lamb, Beal, Buford, Rivers and Ross ahead of Lamb in your own mock. Granted it was done on Feb. 21, but Dorons play in the tournament really spiked him up that high. IDK I musta missed it.
I havent changed my mock and I dont know how. But how many guys mocks are similar to there picks for best 2 guard.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/14/2012 - 12:19pm #659280

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantYou did a lottery mock two weeks ago and had J.Lamb, Beal and Rivers over D.Lamb. In no universe is Doron Lamb better than Austin Rivers. #call out
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/14/2012 - 12:21pm #659281

HaleParticipantThe only thing I’ve changed on my mocks all year is the lottery. The rest is copied from what the site had when I decided to start it. I don’t do an actual mock until the day before the draft. Haha I’m really not a big mock guy at all to be honest.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/14/2012 - 12:42pm #659287

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantI havent changed mine not because I thought it was good but because I really dont know how. Rivers will be as good as Mo Williams and DLamb will be as bad as Wayne Ellington, though.
Whenever those guys that think Brandon Triche is better than Jeremy Lamb login in this thread needs to be taken down. There is a legion of them.
I am not one of the Cuse Nation but Waitors is getting did dirty.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/14/2012 - 12:52pm #659298

RICO 1981ParticipantWhy does everybody think Beal is a bette NBA prospect? I think Beal is stronger and has the better shot, but Rivers is better at everything else. Is their something I am missing because I believe with better shot selection Rivers is a better prospect than Beal, but not by much.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/14/2012 - 12:54pm #659300
HadzialijagicParticipant1. Beal
2. Jeremy Lamb
3. Ross
4. Waiters(will suprise people)
5. RiversI think this will be a nice SG Crop as Beal Lamb and Ross will all be quality starters while Rivers and Waiters will be good 6th men.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/14/2012 - 1:11pm #659318
mosdefParticipantJeremy Lamb will be drafted first cuz he has an insane wingspan. I think Beal will be the better player cuz of mentality and build
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/14/2012 - 1:16pm #659321

kobyzParticipanti like Doron Lamb the most out of all, i think from all he has the best capability and ability to carry an offense the most efficiently – he’s a knock down shooter, has great poise and intangibles, great knowing of how to get benefit from moving without the ball, hold amazing pace to his game, has superb hesitation moves and craftyness to maneuver defenders time and again for scoring opportunities.
i see him as a poor man Brandon Roy at best ot inch shorter Michael Redd at standard case.

bloodshyParticipant1. Beal
2. JLamb
3. Rivers
4. Ross
5. Waiters
6. Buford
7. DLamb
Personally, I value JLamb above Beal, but I see Beal being drafted first.

druneave3ParticipantI’ll take Ross and Beal. You can keep the rest. Waiters could find a role in the League also
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/14/2012 - 5:00pm #659443

Dale WorthingtonParticipantWhat druneave said.
Ross and Beal are head and shoulders above the rest (with Lamb close by…Lamb’s main weakness is being passive at times).
Ross is disgustingly underrated. His ability to fill up the tin and create his own shot out of seemingly nothing is magical. The man can turn water into wine. A true alchemist.
I think TRoss is going to be a perennial 20+ PPG scorer/all-star caliber player.
1) Ross
2) Beal
3) Lamb
4) Rivers
5) Buford

topotamolderParticipantBeal will get drafted 1st , Lamb after him, and Rivers after both, but time will put things in place and Rivers will be the better scorer from this year’s draft class.
As for Ross I don’t see what people here is saying . I really like him as a player (big washinghton/portland fan). But he isn’t a shoot creator and his ballhandling and IQ are below average, he seems to be a role player at best and that’s why he is projected to go in the 20’s. I don’t see him having much more impact than Wes Johnson had for the Twolves (last season when his shoot was falling)
Btw, putting Doron Lamb ahead of Austin Rivers is like putting Wayne Ellington ahead of Oj Mayo. Come on…
