Kendrick Perkins’ only true purpose and he was pretty great at it.

Bogut and Big Banger for me.

Bogut will screen and handoff in multiple ways to get Curry a look. Rarely fouls.

Big Banger is more of a bruiser. Aussies have a more physical style of play than other countries…Kiwis are in the same category…altho not many have made the League.

Isaac Humphries will join that category as hes probably going to be the heaviest 7footer once he gets drafted and has a very physical approach to his game. He wont have fast rim-running ability so he will make the screen stick and flare out for 12-15 footers.

      +1

I literally laughed out loud at this one.  But it is true.  I would say that 50% of the screens he set in his career were illegal.  He was always moving and sliding into people.  Then grabbing at them and acting like they were just running im over.

Picking is the most underrated skill in the NBA. It reaquires great timing, a good feel for the ball-handler, and the ability to adjust. It’s kinda’ like a dance with the ball-handler and two defenders, but the screener has to follow the ball-handlers lead.

Baynes got a big contract because he is a great picker. SVG wanted to have a great screener on the floor at all times for Reggie Jackson to get free.

I’d throw in Tim Duncan, Tiago Splitter, Draymond Green, Amir Johnson, and Marc Gasol also.

kills guys on screens, opens players up, AND pisses off the other team! All good things. Plus he is a monster of a man physically. Those picks have to hurt!

He had a couple of years of Kendrick Perkins mentoring him, I think that made a difference. He gets used in the pick and roll with Westbrook a lot.

You could ask these kiwis who the best 3pt shooter in the league is and theyd still say Steven Adam haha.

Your a funny dude…… except in the offseason. I dream of the day NZ can produce a quality guard or swingman. We are relegated to big thick bodies and your favourite hustler Mika Vukona who is leading his team towards a 5th championship in the last 6 year in your countries ANBL.

Question for you rip: Patty or Delly?

I gotta go with Patty Thrills because of his ability to create his own offense. Both play tenacious Defense and knock down open jumpers but Delly would struggle to score on a team that didnt have other guys drawing the defense.

Both guys are underrated. I cant think of any better role players at the PG spot..except maybe Sean Livingston.

Kiwis are on the path to producing more skilled players because the popularity of the Breakers and their success will inspire a new generation. It starts with capturing the imagination of 7 and 8 years olds who idolise guys like Corey Webster, Stephen Adams, Cedric Jackson etc and combine a lifetime of hard work with natural ability.

Based on my experience…in previous eras those same talented kids would likely have pursued other sports like Rugby, triathlon or extreme bungee jumping.

Marc Gasol is nasty with the picks. Tim Duncan as well, but all of my bball friends say his picks are always moving screens lol. Draymond Green is good too, especially since he can roll and pop out.
