Brandon Jennings… reminds me a lot of that draft with olowakandi and mike bibby…maybe you’ll have a vince carter here or there….but no hall of hamers.. only a few guys that will make a couple of all start game… bad draft year… Tony Douglas is a big time steal

just bcoz ther arent any likely HOF players doesnt mean this is a “bad draft year” it might not have the star power like the past 2 years but in my opinion this is actually a very strong draft class.. you have alot of guys who will be really solid players and the 2nd round seems to be alot deeper than in past years.. the best prospect in this draft is without a doubt blake griffin..and whos to say that ther r no future HOF’s in this class.. and for the 2nd guy 2 say nobody from this draft will be an all star.. thats funny i cant recall a draft year that has never produced an all star player at least once.

This years draft class seems weak bcuz the last 2 years weve been teased and treated to all star talent and some amazing players. Blake griffin could be an all star but as for the rest of the draft i think there are just a lot of guys who will just develop into good players. Many of these guys may end up being role players and some may even be starters for years to come. But i dont really see just a stand out all star in this year’s class

Last year’s class will go down as one of the best when I think it’s all said and done. I’m not sure if it’s going to have the same elite players as 03 but across the board is pretty ridiclous. I think last year’s draft class spoiled this one to an extent. If there such a thing as a surefire player, the two would be Harden and Griffin. Redundant, oh well.

Harden will drop. He looked unathletic and struggled to create his own shot.

The freshman DeRozan, on the other hand, looked great.

Prediction: DeRozan will rise and Harden will fall.

DeRozan is an inconsistent player. All he is is athletic and has a nice frame.

Harden is a better leader, defender, passer, shooter, and player. Harden may not have the physical tools that DeRozan has, but he will make the his NBA team better. I’m not sure if I can say the same thing for DeRozan.

You like Derozen more than Harden?? but anyway the best overall prospects would be Blake Griffin, Brandon Jennings and Earl Clark, just off of talent

he’ll leave this year… bad draft equals higher pick for him. I think someone will take him in the first round based on talent and potential… however his game is not as polished as harden’s as of right now. We see glimpse of good play (he tore it up in pac 10 tourney) but still needs work on all around game… perfect example is brandon roy… that guy can ball and it took him 4 years to really polish his game

You need to remember when you say this is a bad draft year. If you recal as I do, they said the 2006 draft would not amount to anything because it was a draft of a bunch of ”high risk guys.” and now look at the class! It has produced players like brandon Roy, rudy gay, randy foye and ext. All these players are franchise players and vital role players. What I’m saying is that you really can never tell if a draft is going to be a sucess or not.

You never know if a draft is good or bad untill years later. It could turn out to be a great draft with a ton of steals. About Harden if he falls beyond 5th pick the team that takes him will be very lucky. Derozen will turn out ok i just think it will take him a year or two to adapt to the NBA.

he is not the best (Blake ofcourse is #1) but i’m still high on him, and it looks like he find his game 20.0ppg6.8rpg in last 5games, and after 3losses USC with all 5, pretty good yeah?
And also for me DeJuan Blair is at least top10 prospect, he’s undersized (but everyone now about Brand,Millsap ect.) Blair with 15+12 is amazing in one of the best teams, and his EFF per 40min is the best in all league(yes better than Griffin) !

If you think of a bad draft year look no further than the 2000 draft, the year of the “first round role players”. To this day the best player from that year is Hedo Terkuglo (and that’s by a large margin). Kenyon was doing a little something while he was playing with Jason Kidd and before the micro fracture surgery but he was never going to be a franchise changing player (which is an expectation when you are the #1 pick). If you were to draft those same group of players again after 8+ years of watching them in the NBA there is probably only 2 players that would warrent first round picks (not even lottery). So I dont think this year will be a “Bad draft year” but I dont think there is a franchise changing player in this draft either. The closest would be Griffin who I think will top out in the Boozer/Brand catagory of solid/all-star NBA power forward.

I believe this draft will produce more than one all-star PG.

this is two title for this draft..Blake’s draft or year of PG..Jennings,Curry,Teague,Lawson,Warean,Evans,Lawson all with potencial and if RUbio and Jrue declares, there will be strong draft of PGs

I agree, I think this draft is rather solid. It has a good mix of players of all sorts of positions. I also think there will be some key role players in this years draft. With the Kings picking up Blake he will basically lead that team, and although I am not sure Memphis will pick up the big man Jordan Hill, he will be able to help elevate a team he is a part of. And for the PG, Brandon Jennings has got some real potential, although I don’t think he is NBA ready, he can go far after some improvement. And a guy like Ty Lawson can run a ball club with his effort and ability. There are also a lot of steals in this draft such as Chase Budinger, with his high ability if he was not so streaky he could be much better, another steal is Wille Warren, he shows a lot of potential and becuase he is young he has a lot of room for improvement.

Demar will be an all star. Those of you doubting him have obviously not seen USC play. They have had many injuries and have not given demar the chance to shine by running the offense through him. Upon watching him play in high school (all junior and senior seasons), I learned 1 thing about Demar. He is not all about himself on the court, he wants to get his teammates involved but also needs the ball in order to do that. USC lacks in the department of a real point guard that can run with demar and get him open shots. Just take a look at the PAC-10 Tourney, Demar finally was given the ball and he completely dominated. Not only did he dominate, he shot over 50% and can score 20 points with just 12-15 shots as opposed to other guys needing 20-25 shots to do the same. But again, mark my wods….Demar will be an all star, and will be a high impact player in the NBA, his game is made for it.
