Griffin: I think he would fit best out in Memphis~ Add him to Gasol-Gay-Mayo-Conley and you’ve got 1-5 covered. He’d also probably like to play back in OK, just because he’d be a huge fan favorite. He’d probably have to play C though in a front court with Green and Durant, which IMO, would put him out of position

Rubio: Sacremento~ they need a PG more than any other top 5 team and the market isn’t bad… not great though. His ideal situation is probably in NY where he can have lots of freedom to run n gun. MN also might not be a bad place since they need a PG

Thabeet: Thunder… They need a defensive center and he would be a nice fit with Green and Duran and wouldn’t be counted on much to score. Also, not a bad fit with the Kings. It would allow them to play Hawes and Thompson at PF while he’s out on the floor. Would also fit nicely in MN alongside Love and Al. Washington also wouldn’t be bad alongside Jamison and McGee

Hill: Best fit again is with Memphis because he could slide into the 4 in their lineup. I think he’d also be a nice fit in NY as he’d flourish in the run n gun with his athleticism. I think it’s going to take time for him to effective in the half court besides putbacks.

Harden: OKC in the backcourt with RW…. he wouldn’t be the focus of any defense and this would make the game easier for him. He’s also a playmaker so he’d be a good fit with Durant. I think Washington, though, might be his ideal location alongside Gil and Butler and Jamison…. his playmaking would be valuable there to make their shooters better. I kind of see some Brandon Roy in him.

DeRozan: Thunder… he and RW would form a ridiculously athletic backcourt. He’d also be a decent fit with Gil out in Washington. Probably his best situation would be in NY where he could get out and run!

Thoughts on these guys…. Or any of the other PGs (Flynn, Curry, Holiday, Jennings, Evans, Lawson, Maynor, Teague, etc)…. Anyone else? Blair (nets?), T, Williams, James Johnson….

Basically, what players are the perfect fit for a specific team?

I would have liked to see Griffin in an OKC jersey. They would have been sick. I would also like to see Rubio in Minnesota but if he can turn Sacromento around WOW I will be impressed.

Rubio’s best fit is the Warriors. Watson is the only PG on the roster, and we wasted a first on Marcus Williams I believe and released before season’s end. THANKS MULLIN

It doesn’t really matter where Griffin would fit in. He’d fit in anywhere.

Here’s a few in my book:

    Jonny Flynn – NY Knicks
    Ty Lawson – IND Pacers
    Eric Maynor – PHI 76ers
Tyreke Evans – TOR Raptors (assuming they don’t plan to make a run for Ben Gordon)
    Toney Douglas – LA Lakers

I doubt that Rubio would want to go to GS because of Nelson’s propensity to sit rookies… I think Rubio would want to go somewhere that he felt like he’d play right away…

I think Toney Douglas kind of duplicated a lot of what Shannon Brown does for the Lakers…

I think Tyreke would fit well in Toronto…. He’s a slasher to complement Calderon’s shooting. I think he could also drive and kick for Bosh’s jumper.

Lawson would be a great fit for Indiana cuz they run like at UNC… but I think he’s too high at 13.

Nellie’s been warming up to rookies Randolpg and Morrow both saw minutes and there would be pressure to see what this kid is about + there is only watson on the roster.

What about Tyreke and Monta? That might be an unstoppable combo and Tyreke can guard 2’s for Monta!

James Harden is a high character player. He has the attitude to blend perfectly with Durant, Green, and Westbrook. Seems like a perfect fit to me but I’m not sure Oklahoma City will pass up Rubio or Thabeet to take him. I think the Thunder will end up trading the pick.

Curry would be best playing for Golden State or New York due to the uptempo offense. Once again though I don’t even see Curry making it to the 7th pick. It has hard to find such a pure shooter. Plus his stock is on the rise.

Derrick Brown would be a good pick for the Cavs. Lebron needs a long athletic wing player who can play defense to play beside him. Varejo can’t guard athletes and Delonte West is too small. Brown is extremely versatile.

Flynn- Knicks- Seems like a New York kind of guy. Has played well in Madison Square garden before. Can easily run an uptempo offense.

Jordan Hill- Timberwolves- He wouldn’t have to score much because Love & Jefferson can score plenty. Hill offers the length and defense that Minnesota severely needs in the post. I think Hill would be much better coming off the bench. I just don’t see him as a starter.

Chase Budinger would be a perfect replacement for Ben Gordon. The Bulls need a shooting guard and for once that would have great size at that position. Budinger is smart although he doesn’t play the best defense. Can really shoot the ball and is extremely athletic. Rose, Budinger, Deng, Thomas, Noah is one of the more athletic starting lineups in the league.

What’s Terrence’s NBA position? 2? 3? I think he showed he’s a pretty good overall player, but what position is he? I think he might be a nice fit with VC and devin harris out in NJ

I think the Nets should go with DeJuan Blair…. He and Brook Lopez would be a pretty dominant inside combo.

Williams is a little small to be a 3. He would be a 2 in the nba. The only problem is he can’t shoot. He would be a good fit at New Jersey because they wouldn’t need Williams to shoot because Vince & Devin can do that. Terrence can play solid defense and is a great passer/team player. Not to mention he is a great athlete. The Nets could use him. If only he was 2 inches taller he would be a perfect 3. I guess he is a 2.5 haha.

    Jordan Hill to Minnesota NO!

The only position that team doesnt need is a PF, they need a PG,SG,SF, and C not a PF!

Jordan Hill can easily play Center. All he has to do is gain a little weight. Hill would be a valuable backup for Love and/or Jefferson. Hill is bigger and longer than both Love & Jefferson. The Timberwolves said themselves that they need interior length because they are short in the post.

bflaa2- are u a Minnesota fan? If I was a Minn fan I wouldn’t want Hill either. He is descent but I would go for a PG.

I do not see why everyone is in love with Jordan Hill. He had one decent year and everyone is projecting him in the top 10. Am I missing something?

    SIZE

Hill can rebound and play defense. He can also play PF or Center. That is a rare feature in this draft. This is a very weak draft for post players.

Hill is bigger than Griffin and is more polished than BJ Mullens.

I disagree strongly with Derozan in OKC. In order for him to shine he needs a lot of touches, and on that team, that is not going to happen with Westbrook and Durant handling the ball so much.

I agree about Harden there because he is more of a glue player and can really fit in with the team and give them a great third scoring option. Derozan on the other hand would probably fit well in Minnesota because their strength lies in the post, and putting him in there would distribute the scoring more and really allow him to shine in the backcourt.

The best fit for Thabeet is Minnesota what better then a place where he doesn’t have to be a big scorer and can play defense and rebound. Thabeet is the size that Twolves need in the front court and the defensive presence they need. I am a Timberwolves fan and I think he would be a perfect fit with Jefferson at the 4 he can score big points and rebounds so Thabeet wouldn’t be counted on like a normal top pick.

thoughts on the best place for Daye to land? I’m not a huge Daye fan, and never have been… I think he’s too skinny for the NBA~ a little like Hakim Warrick.
