Where do you guys seeing certain prospects fitting best?

    Just to name a few….

Brandon Knight would fit best with the Kings….As you saw at Kentucky who play a lot of pick and roll to create spot up shots he did a great job of running the shoe and with Cousins setting screens and rolling and him kicking it out to Evans and other shooters I think he could be very effective in upcoming years.

Kawhi Leonard would fit best with the Wizards….I’d love to see him go here. He is an athletic 3 that could play great along side Blatche and McGee. He would bring a toughness that those two pretend to have but lack and doesn’t need to score to be effective. Would also be a great rebounder with two mediocre rebounders in Blatche and McGee.

Jimmer Fredette would fit best with the Knicks….With a player facing so much speculation as to whether he will be good in the league this is where he has the best chance to succeed. The question is will he fall this far or will the Knicks trade up? Regardless if there is a way he could land here this is a place where he could play in an uptempo style of offense, have great options to pass to and spread the floor, and be able to learn from a great veteran PG in Chauncey Billips.

What do you guys think? Where do you see players fitting best in this draft?

They need another wing facilitator/ slasher because we all saw how important James Harden’s play making skillsare to the Thunder once he fouled out. So maybe somebody who can get he teammates open and move without the ball like Tyler Honeycutt,  Kyle Singler, or Nikola Mirotic

I’d say Kemba with the Kings. better off the ball which puts it in Tyreke’s hands

Shelvin Mack with the Heat, can lead a team and shoot the 3

Jeremy Tyler with the Celtics, a big young center who wont get in any trouble with all the veterans

Skeen with the Grizz, has a similar game to randolph and can learn from him

LaDaraiuss Dunn with the Hornets, can replace Marcus Thorton

Benson with the Bucks, can come off the bench behind Bogut

    Symbol,

those are great fits.  I hope the Grizzlies get Skeen (if he is still on the board).  We need another 3 point shooter and some front court depth.  He would fill both needs.  We will have a great starting lineup next year with 3 or 4 good role players off the bench, we just need to add pieces.  But the core is there.

Kemba on the Kings would be good.  That would give the Kings an interchangable 3 guard rotation with Tyreke, Kemba, and Thornton.  Or they could go small and start all three of them.

The Heat need a point guard.  If Shelvin Mack is there he would be a nice pickup.  He can hit the 3, space the floor, and be the fourth option that the Heat need.  I have the Heat taking Darius Morris but I doubt he will be there.  Nolan Smith would be a good pick too.  Steady player with an NCAA title and an ACC championship as a starting point guard.  He can run the offense and score some.

… not sure where Jimmer would fit the best.  I like the Knicks but I think the last thing they need is another score first player.  I would think they would need a point guard who can get Amare and Carmelo good shots.  Maybe Darius Morris.

I have Jimmer going to the Pacers.  He would be a great backup behind Darren Collison.  The Pacers also need a 3 point threat and Jimmer would be a great one.  Jimmer would give the Pacers more versatility and another good young player.

… I think that Bismack Biyombo would fit best with the Pistons as a defensive guy next to Greg Monroe.  Then in the second round I have them taking Keith Benson.

I have Kawhi Leonard being the best fit for the Wizards.  He would give them a good wing player to go with Wall/Crawford and McGee/Blatche up front.

Not sure who the best fit is for the Raptors.  I think they should just take the best guy on the board.

I am not sure where the Warriors go at 11.  I think they go with a front court player.  Motie might be a good fit.  I would like to imagine a Dirk-like player in an up-tempo Warriors offense.  Vesely would fit if he is still on the board.  I think I have them taking Marcus Morris.

I think Kante would be the best fit for Enes Kanter.  He can play center and would be pretty good next to Kevin Love.  With Love at power forward they aren’t running much anyway so I think a Kanter-Love combo up front would be nice.

I have the Cavs taking Derrick Williams at number 1.  I think they need to get a big man first then perhaps a point guard at #4. To me there is not enough seperation between Irving and Knight or Walker.  At #4 I have them picking Kyrie Irving if they want to play it safe.

An intriguing roll-the-dice play for them would be to take Derrick Williams at #1 and Kawhi Leonard at #4.  Put Leonard at the 2 and Williams at the 3 if they want to go big, or they can go small with a Williams, Leonard, and Hickson front line.  They still have Baron Davis so they could really get out and run with those guys, and they have Ramon Sessions who has shown glimpses of being a pretty good point guard.  … then in the second round they should take Keith Benson in the second round and then DeAndre Liggins or David Lighty with their last pick.  That would give them 4 good athletes at the 2-4 spots with Williams, Leonard, Hickson, and Eyenga.  Two good point guards in Davis and Sessions.  Three good centers with Benson, Varejao, and Ryan Hollins, and two good all-around shooting guards in Anthony Parker and Liggins/Lighty.  Those picks would give the Cavs a versatile, explosive team.  Then next year they can go out and get another good piece of the puzzle.

I agree the cavs need a big but i think they need a C not a PF which is the position i believe Williams was spend the bulk of his minutes throughout his career. What seperates Irving from Knight and Walker is he is a facilitator. Both Walker and Knight are combo guards. If we dont take Irving at one, we shouldn’t draft a pg this year. Scott needs a true pg to effectivley run his princeton offense. I just dont think Sessions is good enough or that Williams is enough of an upgrade from hickson (who averaged 20ppg and 12rpg over the last ten games) to justify passing the consensus #1 player in the draft.

I’m still compiling my mock draft so I haven’t really looked at who fits well where but Williams to the Cavs seems a nice fit. A PG for the Kings be it Kemba Walker looks a good match to me. I’ve always liked Jimmer to the Knicks as well, he’d be a great 6th man and under Coach D’Antoni he’d almost be told just go out and score or look for openings that Melo or STAT create.

I agree that a young big would be a solid choice for Celtics. Washington I could see either Jan Vesley or Kawai Leonard being a good fit at SF long term for them.

The Duke guys like Nolan Smith and Kyle Singler always look good value to the Bulls if they are still on the board at 28 and 30. A backcourter in Smith to play around D-Rose MVP and Singler gives nice bench depth and both are as NBA ready as they will ever be which for a win now team is always useful.
