SamCarlsonParticipantSo me being a bulls fan I was thinking about the potential for the bulls getting Melo. It would Make a nice trio with rose and Noah but they would prolly have to give up all assets and jimmy and taj. Which makes me believe they would still come up short against the likes of the heat and thunder. So my question for you guys is how would you rank the three trios Rose/Melo/Noah, Westbrook/Durant/ibaka, and Wade/Lebron/Bosh? And how would you rank the complimentary stars of Noah, Ibaka and Bosh?

AmiableBaller34ParticipantI think right now it would go to the Heat trio mainly because they would have the best defender in LeBron, and Bosh is better than Ibaka offensively right now. That might not be the case in a few years, but as of today I would still take the Heat’s trio.
I would have a hard time picking Rose/Melo/Noah over the other two trios mainly because Durant/LeBron are better than Melo, and I don’t know how good Rose is any more. Yeah he was an MVP, but at the end of the day, we haven’t seen him play in pretty much two years, and he’s only played in 49 games since the ’10-’11 season. Next time he steps on the court he’s going to be 26, and I wonder how these injuries have hindered his developement.
Your second question is a little more interesting, because I think it’s a matter of opinion. Personally I would take Noah over both Ibaka and Bosh because he is such a good defender, passer, and team mate. Noah is the heart and soul of the Bulls, and you really can’t say that about Bosh or Ibaka. You’ll never hear anyone call out Noah for being lazy or playing soft, and that’s coming from a 6’11 center averaging 11.7 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 4.1 apg, 1.3 bpg, and 1.2 spg. Noah is a monster.

jaycee24Participantthat’s super tough but I would give it ibaka based on versatility. I wouldn’t argue with any of the three though

jaycee24ParticipantFor the 3 you’d have to go with the Heat though I think thats the reason OKC hasn’t gotten a ring yet being that they aren’t quite right as far as complimenting each other

Ghost01ParticipantActually, if the Bulls get Melo, it will probably be in Free Agency, meaning they won’t have to give up either Taj or Butler. Its more likely they dump Hinrich and Dunleavy to clear cap.
I would actually rank the Miami "trio" last, only because I think LeBron would account for so much more than the other 2 in that scenario, whereas the other 2 trios are more balanced.

sixersman111ParticipantI personally believe the trio of George, Stephenson, Hibbert can be special if they keep stephenson.
