delfamParticipantI was just wondering who will be the best true center in the draft this year. I know Kanter and Vessely but their more PF. I just don’t see many Hibbert type centers.

RalwarezParticipantI´d say definitely Sullinger. These two are the only two bigmen in this years draft so far, who can totally dominate the paint. Of course – season has´nt started yet and there will be surprises and newcomers.
I assume, Kanter will move to powerforward position in NBA due to his quite good agility, versatility, jumpshot and mid-range game, in addition to his strength and toughness inside. But he is more like 6-9 then 6-11, so-.
Sullinger may be even an inch shorter, but his bruising inside game is not comparable at college-level. He should be tremendous force at NBA-level, too.

SubZeroParticipantSullinger could possibly be the best big man in the nation THIS YEAR, of course he’s going in the lottery

Thunder DanParticipantFab Melo is a true center. All signs to him getting much better. Could sneak into my mock lottery if he has a dominant year.

delfamParticipantKanter and Sullinger aren’t true centers though, that’s what I’m saying, I really don’t see any Centers available. I guess Melo but I we haven’t seen anything from him.

sammybuckeye13ParticipantFab Melo best case = more focused JaVale McGee with improving post moves and deceptively soft touch…he’s worthy of a lotto pick in such a shallow draft.

JNixonParticipantI think it’s Enes Kanter as well. Kanter really reminds me of Andrew Bogut.
I do think Fab Melo is 2nd though. He has ridiculous defensive potential and at best could be an Andrew Bynum type, but I see him being a Brendan Haywood type of role-playing C who rebounds and blocks shots well.

Thunder DanParticipantFab Melo has a body capable of adding mass, unlike Mcgee. I bet he gets the minutes since they have no other bigs and puts up decent numbers leading to. Hes not as athlethic as Mcgee either. Melos numbers will falsly inflate his value though.

MkadozaParticipantJavale McGee and Fab Melo aren’t similiar at all really, other than they’re 7’0" with a good wingspan. McGee is one of the most athletic centers in the league, but lacks the bulk and strength to make good use of it. His lack of any post moves at all, but is a fast in the open court as any player in the league.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThey’d be lottery bound Big Men…LOL…they went why lower than they could have…BJ was really dumb for leaving Ohio State Early, look at what waiting a year or two got Evan Turner…And Orton might have been a top 10 pick this year if he has a big year at Kentucky with Brandon Knight,Terrence Jones and Enes Kanter(if cleared to play by NCAA)

khaled_a_dParticipantI’ve seen some youtube videos and read a lot of reports about Jonas Valanciunas and I am really starting to be a fan of that kid ,he is doing well in the Euroleague this year
Kenter is a possibility too,but if he is actually 6’9 he may be forced to play PF in the NBA
