The Rockets 2nd unit looks great. I think the Rockets is a contender because of its depth (if Yao is healthy entire year).

The Suns has a decent 2nd unit, too.

    Dragic
Childress (assume JRich and GHill start)
Dudley / Turkoglu (if he doesn’t start at PF)
    Warrick / Clark
    Frye

Bucks: Not much size but a lot of versatility especially with Maggette or CDR at the 3 and 2 spots possibly
    PG Dooling
    SG Delthreeno
    SF LR Mbah a Moute

any unit w/ Ajinca in it should be disqualified from discussion. This guy is literally stealing money from the NBA.

Especially considering how much these guys pride themselves on being the 2nd unit. I think that makes a big difference. I was extremely impressed with the suns 2nd unit last year, and I feel that they just got better… If these guys can hold the same mindset, I can see them winning a lot of games at the start of the 4th quarter when these guys come in and give 110% effort

It’s tough to say, most of the time, there will always be a starter on the floor with the back up units. a lot of decent benches have come together this off season. It will be a fun season to watch…

Would Evans be considered 2nd unit if he backs up Udrih but starts at SG? He’s really the only other player that can play point for them besides Udrih. If so, I’d say they have one of the best 2nd units

    Evans
    Garcia
    Greene
    Thompson/Landry
    Cousins

symbol- Mav’s have a sick backup situation at the guard spots and at center, but Stevenson and Ajinca negate an overall unit.

The Kings 2nd unit would be better with a proven PG in it. Evans would not be considered part of it because he starts with the 1st unit. The 2nd unit for the Kings looks something like this:

    PG: Pooh Jeter
    SG: Francisco Garcia
    SF: Casspi / Donte Greene
    PF: Jason Thompson / Landry
    C: Cousins

The SF and PF positions depend on who starts for Westphal but I think either way it is pretty solid.

Yeah I didn’t know cuz technically Evans is the backup for Udrih but he starts so it kinda goes both ways

the pistons do have a good second unit. tru, our first unit isnt to good, but our 2nd unit comparing to other benches, its still pretty darn solid

I think the suns have the best 2nd unit, mainly bc of chemistry.
