Wavy BagelsParticipantList 5 players who possess the purest jumpshots in the league TODAY. Here’s mine:
1. Kevin Durant
2. Stephen Curry
3. Dirk Nowitzki

river09Participantpurest jumpshooters? How is Ray Allen not on the top of this list. He is the Gold standard in my mind.
For midrange jumpshooting (which is something that should be brought up), Kobe has to be mentioned.
For long-range jumpshooting I have to say JJ Redick always comes to mind. Just watching all those outrageous shots at duke that he made..
But overall:
1) Ray Allen (should always be in the debate for greatest all time 3 point shooter, still has it.. so effortless)
2) Stephen Curry
3) JJ Redick
4) Anthony Morrow
5) Kevin Love!! (I’m only sort of kidding… But he did win the 3p contest didn’t he… )

M-DYMESParticipantI guess the whole “Besides Ray Allen” title just doesn’t cut it for some people.

GoodbyeChandlerParticipantHey, some people choose to not read titles and words in all caps.

M-DYMESParticipantWell then I will suggest to the community at large, to read titles. Just thought it could be useful. Hell how bout we just don’t read the body either. Lets just post whatever we feel in whatever thread we just happen to be in. Democracy!!!!!

river09Participantlol that’s my bad Sir Lord M-Dymes… Everyone please ignore my first post…

thparadoxParticipantI’d go with:
Stephen Curry
Steve Nash
Dirk Nowitzki
Steve Novak
Anthony Morrow
runners up: Matt Bonner / Al Horford (midrange)
-Durant and Melo are great scorers, but they don’t have pure jump shots.

Mr. 19134ParticipantBesides Ray Allen, I’m not really sure who I would of picked to play the role of Jesus Shuttlesworth in He Got Game….But I would of loved to see A.I. land it…

fgrrghgParticipantheres a statistical article analyzing the purest shooters in the game in terms of making shots everywhere on the court… it states nash and ray ray above the rest.. kobe is up there, as well as dirk, rudy gay, joe johnson…

Mr. 19134ParticipantI just wanna throw a name out there that hasn’t been mentioned but this guy is a pure shooter and has been since he entered the league. In fact the only reason he’s still in the league is because he can shoot.
KYLE KORVER
My favorite shot in the league might belong to Steph Curry tho.
And it’s time for people to start looking out for Kyrie Irving. This kid can really shoot. I thought he was just a smart player who took high % shots but the more I watch him the more I realize, no this dude is just a great playmaker who also has that shooting gene in the same vein as Nash and Curry.

JoeWolf1I look at Steph Curry’s shot and it’s textbook beauty, but Nash shoots 50/40/90 or damn close to it every year, that’s beyond impressive.
