Ben Wallace has spoken heavily about the possibility of his retirement after this season, but has also hedged a lot throughout the year given how healthy he’s been, comparatively. Just to be sure, the Pistons celebrated his last game of the season with a commemorative video and it was an emotional night to be , sure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=zo80tqqRv4E

But all the emotions might have been for naught, since Tayshaun Prince , speaking on NBATV as transcirbed by theDetroit Free Press says that Wallace is on the fence about retirement:

"I think it is a situation where he is still thinking about it," Prince said. "One side is telling him it is time to spend time with the family and relax a little bit, and then the other side is saying I still have more left in the tank.

Do you think he can still be a valuable asset to have in the NBA next year for the Pistons ?

Or if he gets traded to a championship team what team do you think he could contribute most to ?

I personally would not mind if he played another year. He’s still a good defensive player, he may not get the blocks he used to, but he can still alter shots and get rebounds. But if he did play another year I hope he goes to a contender instead of staying with the Pistons.

The Pistons don’t need Wallace, but I guess they can’t really turn them down after how much he had done for their franchise.

A team like Boston or Atlanta could use him as a big defender off the bench
