I’m making this post to see what kind of player do you guys think he is..I see a lot of people questioning his aggresiveness & why isn’t he shooting it enough or scoring more points so that makes me think you guys look at him like a scorer. He’s not a Kobe/MJ type. He may not even be as assertive as LeBron.

IMO I look at him as a creator, as more of a J.Kidd type of player. I know ppl criticize his shooting & it concerns me too, but I’d much rather have a guy that plays to his strengths than one that just shoots it to shoot it or because he’s trying to prove to ppl that he can make shots. Thats how you end up with a Josh Smith on your team…and to say that a guy that averages 19/12/5 is tha reason LSU is losing these games is kind of crazy.

think your opinion of his play so far depends on your expectations. If you expected him to be that big time scorer like KD was, then I understand tha outrage…but I also have to question whether or not you’re really familiar with his game. Tha best part of his game is his IQ & court vision & ball handling…tha fact that he plays like a real point guard, not just a big guy that can handle tha ball a little. He’s also a great rebounder & (when dialed in) a very versatile defender. When you combine all of that into a 6’10 240 pound frame with good athletic ability (great considering his size), thats a special prospect & player.

Now, as far as who’s tha better player between him & Ingram, that depends on what type of player you want & how good you think Ingram can be. I don’t think he’s KD, maybe a poor man’s KD…but he’s not as long, tall, athletic or as nice a scorer. Ingram’s a far better shooter than BS, but I’m not going to say he’s a far better scorer. (He has 9 20pt games compared to BS 14 20pt games by tha way). Now if you believe in his potential, then that’s your right & you could be right. He’ll be tha youngest player in tha league with a great skillset in a 6’10 frame. I wouldn’t be shocked if he happened to be a PG type of player (who I compare him to), but I also wouldn’t be shocked if went tha Darius Miles route. What if he can only score on open 3’s & in transition?? What else will he bring to tha game besides scoring? And if a guy is superior in every single category besides shooting, how is he a lesser player? Odds are that BS won’t exactly be LeBron/Magic & Ingram won’t be KD….what if they’re J.Kidd & PG? Who would you want?

I’m really interested to see you guys’ responses because I really wanna know how you view both players. I don’t really care about negs or anything so do it if you want…I just wanted to talk basketball & get your opinions.

Good assessment of each.  I think you are right about preference.  IMHO, I still take Simmons because I like players who are looking to make plays for their teammates and can play an all-around game.  I think Simmons’ IQ is so high and unique for a big who can handle the ball and set up players.  Ingram may prove to be the better scorer ane deadlier weapon in the long run, but I’d still want to shape my team around B.S.’s strengths vs. Ingram’s.

Simmons has been the top prospect for the 2016 Draft for so long he’s bound to have people start picking apart his game…… I believe he’s going to be a beast in the NBA…..  just like last year when Towns & Okafor’s games were stifled by the terrible system of college basketball & the officiating….. the NBA for Simmons will be  like taking the cuffs off the kid…..

I really like Ingram too….. I think he’s gonna need more time than Simmons to develop at the NBA level….. but his upside is crazy…. 6’10” kid with that crazy wing span who can shoot 3’s is a very rare thing….. I just don’t see how any NBA GM can pass on Simmons at #1 so that’s my call Simmons at #1 & Ingram at #2 & 5 years from now I think they are Both NBA studs…..

I’ll tell you what though, I have liked Jamal Murray since I saw him playing for team Canada last summer & the kid just gets better & better & better…. he can play either PG or SG, he’s got 3 pt range & he can get to the Rim…. He’s got natural Leadership traits, he never gets too high or too low & he just grinds…. I luv his work ethic…… I like Jaylan Brown a lot too …. there is some nice tlanet in this Draft….
