WrecklessParticipantBen McLemore announced that he will attend Kansas in a video on ESPN.com. McLemore, a 6-foot-5, 185 pound shooting guard, is the No. 17 player in the class of 2011 according to Rivals.com. He is known for his athletic ability and jump shot. McLemore spent most of this season at Oak Hill Academy, a prep basketball powerhouse in Mouth of Wilson, Va. Can anyone give me a quick scouting report on him because all I have seen is highlights.

BKKnicksfanParticipantHuge grab for Kansas. They really needed some guard help after starting Morningstar AND Reed this past season. He, along with Nadir Thorpe (correct me if I’m wrong) should make a strong guard tandem next season. If Selby and Robinson come back, I think this is a scary team.
As for a little scouting report, Here’s Draftexpress:
"6-4 or 6-5, with very long arms, a strong frame and excellent athletic ability, it’s not hard to tell what the recruiting services see in McLemore from a physical standpoint alone. He also shows a very pretty shooting stroke, a strong first step, the ability to finish impressively in transition, and some very nice tools on the defensive end"

JNixonParticipantI’ve seen him play, I believe he was on Bradley Beal’s AAU team out in Missouri. I thought he was going to go to Mizzou, he would’ve been a good fit in that system, but Mike Anderson obviously left.
He’s a long and lean guy. Very good athlete. Raw skills and below average handle and a mediocre jump shot. He’s not going to get anything run for him at KU other than the spot up jump shots that their wings get early on, but he’s not a shot creator or a true scorer. He may not be ready to play next year, but he might be thrown into the fire anyway because KU is losing so much personnel. He’s a long term NBA prospect because of his physical and athletic ability and potential.

Da1potParticipantI’m still trying to figure out why he was kicked out of Oak Hill though, especially during the most important part of the season……. There have been no hints for why he was kicked off at all except "violated team rules"
