What do you guys think of Beasley since coming back from China? Do you think he learned a lesson from being demoted to China? If so well he develop a work ethic and become the player he could/should be?

I personally liked him in MN, he averaged 19/game. After that his NBA career has been mostly down.

I predict that  China woke him up and he will average 18-20/game. Could become a really good 6th man.

I hate it when somebody has the talent, but injuries and/or character stop him on his way to greatness. It makes an average fan really upset, because everybody wants to see as many superstar players as possible, and MB definitely had the talent to become one. Hopefully he’s able to get back on track, he was really one of the best college freshmen ever.

We’ve had an entire generation of great centers disappear because of character and health issues. Yao’s career was cut way too short, Oden was supposed to be the next truly great center, Dwight Howard will probably be a HOFer but I think he definitely could have had a better career, Andrew Bynum should’ve been a bona fide superstar, Larry Sanders a multiple time All-defense member, but who knows what’s in their head, maybe I forgot some players as well. Maybe Joel Embiid is next in line. I certainly hope he’s not.

Mike Beasley is a DOG! He’s supremely talented as a scorer and rebounder. I’ve watched almost every Rockets Game since he’s been back and I think he is the sole reason they haven’t fallen below the 8th spot. He’s avg 15pts 5 rebs on 56% shooting in 18mins per game. I think thereally will be a good market for him in the offseason. Hopefully he finds a more professional environment and turns his career around.

It certainly a great start off the bench. It will be interesting to see what happens if he gets more minutes and plays against 1st units.

Through 8 games his PER is 27.4!!

He’s 27 years old so should be entering his anyway really.

With Beasley it has always been a mental thing.  Huge talent, low motivation, and lack of desire.  If the light bulb has finally been switched then he could be a starter on a good team.  He needs to be focused and off the weed this time around, and drop the "B-Easy" alter ego thing.  He has a golden opportunity in Houston, and could secure a long-term deal in the off season if he continues to play like he has, and does not have any off court problems.  I always liked Beasley and always hoped he would get serious about his opportunity(ies).

He has scored well for the Rockets and will hopefully get a deal in the NBA this summer. But we are almost waiting for him to do something stupid down the line.

Ideally he needs to get his head down and have a solid cleancut season next year to really re-establish himself in the NBA. He’d only be 28 then and might get a better deal.

Hopefully he stays on the straight and narrow but I see teams giving him only one year deals or deals with a team option in years 2 or 3 etc. I don’t think a team commits long term to Beas unless it’s for minimum only deal.

Talent wise – he should be a superstar….easily top 25 talent in all of basketball…:it’s just been mental, focus, immaturity and a variety of things that has held him back…..my goodness tho he has looked great in limited minutes/chances in Houston….I almost wrote a post the other day…..Harden and Beasley pick and roll/pop has looked amazing so far….he really is so talented and I hope he is committed to playing this way every game for the rest of his career….would be an unbelievable  story….if I’m Houston I give him a one year deal with a team option and incentive filled…he should be competing with his friends such as Durant , Harden, Westbrook in the ASG but he has never put it all together….talent is not the question here it’s consistency and focus….if he’s over his past issues…..he will be putting up 15 ppg next year no problem….I’m rooting for you Michael Beasley….the best freshman I ever seen play college basketball…..time to be that impact player that EVERYONE knows you should be….

Picked him up on my fantasy three games in and I’ve been waiting for a reason to drop him but none thus far. I haven’t watched any full games how has his defense been. Even if he is defending terribly he is averaging 30-points and 10-rebounds per 36-minutes any team could find use of that kind of production.
