BlackMamba24ParticipantThey had to trade him to open more space up to be more flexible with money

omphalosParticipantIf Beasley is allowed to play the 3 he could be potent. This would be one tall team until you get to the C position. Rubio (eventually), Webster, Beasley, Love, Jefferson. I can see Johnson coming off the bench at the 2 and 3 now. Johnson could start at the 2 over Webster maybe, but I’d give Beasley the chance the shine. Not that any of this matters given the 3-horse race the League just became (Celtics, Heat, Lakers are the only ones with a chance of winning).

EntropyParticipantBeasley will finally get a chance to thrive. He will be the franchise player for the team and first option. Do you guys agree with this?
Also i think he should play PF.

HaleParticipantGreat pickup for Minny. Johnson/Beasley gives them some young scoring talent finally!
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 6:18pm #349733

MagikKnickParticipantThey got Webster, Pavlovic, Wes Johnson, Lazar Hayward, Corey Brewer, and maybe Bjelica, plus Beasley…..what the fk David Kahn?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 6:20pm #349735
LazarusMunozParticipantIf Beasley is the first option for Minny then there in a world of trouble!
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 6:20pm #349736

butidonthavemoneyWhy not?
All they need is an defensive-minded center and Ricky Rubio. Then BAM! complete team.

TripBzParticipantlol at wizkid, but nogo Entropy i see your a beas fan but i hope hes not our first option, hell he shouldnt even start but where screwed for awhile anyway so it doesn’t really matter haha i like the pick up tho were getting some talent in the Sota! oh yea go heat!

BlueLacesParticipantWe all know Kahn has been shopping Jefferson around. Does this mean that they will now start seeing what they can get for Love too?

NYCrealdealParticipantnba gms should have a summit and make it a rule not to trade with miami
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 6:35pm #349763

esperanzafleet69Participantstarting lineup will be
flynn
wesley johnson
beasley
love
jeffersonthat looks pretty scary on paper to me..
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 6:40pm #349774

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantI don’t think the Wolves roster is done changing yet. They’ve been offering Jefferson for a while and now J. Flynn.
Esperanza…. paper isn’t scary.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantFar be it of me to give credit to Minnesota, but it is nice move. It is probably going to be another tear of beatdowns, but there is reason for hope that there might be some light just over the horizon. If they can get Beasley or Love to guard people, it could come sooner.
PG: Jonny Flynn, Ramon Sessions, (Rubio)
SG: Corey Brewer, Wayne Ellington
SF: Martell Webster, Wes Johnson, Lazar Hayward, (Bjelica)
PF: Michael Beasley, Kevin Love, (Norel)
C: Nikola Pekovic, Darko Milicic, Ryan Hollins, (Prestes)Jefferson is gone, so who can they get for Al Jefferson? I need to look around for which shooting guards are going to be made available, but I’ll throw out this baseless these ideas:
Dampier’s contract and Roddy Beaubois for Jefferson?
James Harden, Mo Pete, and a future first for Jefferson?
Leandro Barbosa and Earl Clark for Jefferson?
Three-way: S&T Redick to Minnesota along with Pietrus, Jefferson to Detroit, Prince and Daye to Orlando?0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 6:49pm #349787

RekeDMCParticipantso who does toronto get for bosh?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 6:51pm #349788

mgreener_34ParticipantHe signed for less money, so im guessing they got nothing?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 6:51pm #349789

JNixonParticipantI think Beasley would come off the bench in Minnesota, at least he would if they don’t move Jefferson. I think Beasley is best suited as a 6th man right now and they need a defensive-minded swingman in their starting lineup (insert Corey Brewer) because their lineup would be devoid of D without Brewer.
Beasley wasn’t needed in Miami after LBJ’s decision, but I do think that he lands in a decent situation for his maturation in Minnesota. He can now come off the bench and provide the mismatch he always is.

Hoops MaestroParticipantCall up the Minnesota Governor’s mansion — the T-Wolves are a disaster area…. Can they beat their D-league team?

RekeDMCParticipant@mgreener_34
thanks, i thought bosh was greedy and wanted the sign and trade haha
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 6:55pm #349799

BlueLacesParticipantToronto gets no one. He didn’t do a sign and trade.
Also, Kahn just said the other day that the Wolves have no intention on trading Johnny Flynn.
BothTeamsPlayedHard-
I like the Wolves-Dallas trade. Beaubois would be another great asset to have and they could use Dampier’s contract as major trade bait next season around the trade deadline.
I also like the Thunder trade as well. Rubio, Harden, Johnson and Beasley would be a stellar young core of players down the road.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 6:55pm #349801

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantThat OKC trade is first place. Harden has a lot of potential, and the Thunder would finally get someone that could score with their back to the basket. It would also allow Jeff Green to move back to small forward, even if it does mean that he would come off the bench. It takes away from OKC’s shooting guard depth, but Daequan Cook could step up.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 6:58pm #349807

JNixonParticipantDallas isn’t giving up Beaubois. He’s clearly their PG of the future, and could take the position as soon as the beginning of next season. Thats the only scenario I couldn’t see happening.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantI heard a report that Flynn might be traded to Cleveland? Any info on that?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 7:11pm #349829

cuseflynn10ParticipantKahn has said Flynn isn’t going anywhere soon. Kahn has developed a man crush on Flynn and needs to be completely wowed with an offer to part ways with Flynn. I do agree that Jefferson is likely on his way out. I’d like to see Jefferson to a team with a 10-20 pick next year so Minnesota could select Fabricio de Melo out of Syracuse. I may have been annoying saying Wes and Rautins to Minny for the past 8 months but hey one half of that happened. Melo will be a dominant force down low and could be the missing piece for the T’Wolves puzzle. A starting lineup of Flynn-Johnson-Beasley-Love-Melo would not only be a long, tall (not jonny), and athletic core but add in backups of Ellington, Hayward, Webster, and Darko with future early draft picks and possibly Rubio and this team could compete against Miami, Boston, Orlando, and the rest of the East.

Cusemen727ParticipantI love the Cuse connection, but you think Fab is a one and doner, my gut says no, I hear he is still very raw offensively, but who knows, even if he has a decent year while en route to our 2nd title, true centers are pretty much non existent in the NBA so he’ll prolly bolt.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 7:53pm #349890

NbanflguyParticipantI actually like the wolves building blocks now
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 7:55pm #349892

PlatypusParticipantThe line up should be either, until Jefferson is traded, 1st one would fit them best
Flynn
Webster or Brewer
Johnson
Love
Jefferson
6th man Beasley (Lamar Odom type role)OR
Flynn
Johnson
Beasley
Love
Jefferson
6th man Webster / Brewer0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 10:08pm #349998

BlueLacesParticipantDarko will probably be starting at center for the Wolves (started 18 of 24 games last year). They will trade Jefferson which will mean Love and Beasley will be in a battle for the starting 4 spot. Rambis wasn’t too high on Love last year, especially with his defensive skills. I think the nod could go to Beasley if he comes in more mature, ready to work and to prove that he was worthy of a number 2 pick. Not to mention I think he will have a HUGE chip on his shoulder coming into next season.
