valentineAmid the all star hype, I had a man on the ground at the 3-day Basketball without Borders camp.
Nonetheless, since information online is relatively low, maybe some others can shed light on the top performers?
Some of the highlightd that I have heard along the grapevine:
* DeAndre Ayton vs Thon Maker: 2 best bigs went head to head in a spirited matchup on numerous occasions. Both were standouts and lived up to the hype. Thon Maker reportedly having unmatched motor, defense and rim-running skills
* Harry Froling may be unknown to many, but won the tournament MVP. Not the best prospect, but a 6’10" stretch PF committed to SMU. Should be an NBA reserve as defense and athleticism isnt elite. Will be a beast in College as a freshman…think Henry Ellenson.
* Abu Kigab was reportedly the wing with the most upside. Great athleticism and likely to shoot up draft boards. Possibly looking at Kansas but will have choice of program after strong showing.
* William McDowell White: High IQ point Guard with slashing, lockdown defense and facilitating ability. Is going to choose his school soon but has future pro written all over him. Wouldnt be surprised if he went to Arizona State.
Anyone else got a recap?

OhCanada-ParticipantAbu has a versatile skill set that is very well rounded/complete and intriguing. He is from St. Catharine’s Ontario and is one of many talents we’ve had stashed here ready to emerge.
Ever since moving to California his stock has emerged playing alongside Josh Jackson at Prolific Prep. Former Marquette Coach Buzz Williams currently at Virginia Tech gave Kigab his first offer. The same man responsible for wings like Jae Crowder, Wesley Matthews and Jimmy Butler. The man can spot talent. He also has offers from Baylor, Oregon, USC, Minnesota, and now Kansas and will likely play wherever he wants at the end of the day.
Abu was originally a forward but stopped growing and recently added much needed gaurd skills. This has made him a very unique weapon. He has broad shoulders, long arms, and thick legs allowing him to play in contact with the bigs. At 6’6 I like to think of his best case scenario as Joe Johnson.
Also really want to see Oregon or USC recruit him they have done a great job developing talent.
