SlickBouncePassParticipantKind of based off the Adidas vs. Nike post……
I assume there are guys on here that play a lot of ball. I also assume they understand different companies make shoes with a different feel.
From my experience Under Armour (the curry shoe), is the best shoe for a guard for agility on the court, but its mad easy to twist your ankle with them on.
So, do you all have recommendations for the best shoe to ball in?
In Addition to the Currys I do like the Chris Paul jordan shoe.

TheGuyParticipantI hated the Curry UA shoe just because of the material they used and how riggid the shoe is.
My favorite at the moment is the Nike Hyperrev 2015. Its a one piece upper and it’s very light and requires no break in time, which I love. It’s pretty low to the ground so even though it’s a lowtop you’ll be pretty safe from twisting your ankle and the cushining is still pretty strong. Traction is good.
The Kobe Venomonan and Mentality are also good low top shoes that have an upper mesh with good traction that I like. The Kobe 11 just released in an upper mesh version but they have other version with different materials, so you there are options for that shoe model based on what kinda material you like.
I mainly wear lowtops, but the hyperdunks 2014 are a good standard shoe and really cheap now if you can find them online.
I recently orderd a pair of the Way of Wade 4’s from Ling Nig, you can only get them online and they ship from overseas (my bank froze my debit card over the weekend because of that, so that might deter you from ordering them) they are pretty price too. I’m excited to try them out and add a new unique brand to my collection because I only have Nike’s.
My preferences might be different than yours. I like a lightwieght, soft shoe. Sounds like you prefer a shoe with a more riggid, durable material.

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantI’m still rocking the Lebron graffiti 12’s and they’re doing me justice, shoes are awesome on blacktop and in a gym. Sometimes I shake it up with a good pair of loves but only for the hardwood floors

KingslayerParticipantI’m a guard with quick feet, so I like a really light shoe with strong traction and a nice balance between cushion and court feel. So I prefer Kobe’s for top on-court performance. Right now I have the KB Mentality 2s and the Kobe 9 EM.
The issue is I develop stress reactions in my lower legs from playing too much ball, as a result of playing a ton of ball & other sports for 20 years (btw, Brad Beal is f*****. Those stress fractures always come back, even after they heal). So I also need shoes with strong cushion and support for all outdoor play and even for indoors when I’m balling a lot. Right now I have the Rose 6’s in primeknit and the Lillard 2’s, and they feel amazing.

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantI’m the same way haha, jumping out of a perfectly good aircraft in the army has my legs jacked up, I can’t cut to the rim or drive too fast or my left ankle will just die on me; doesn’t help my knees sound like rice crispies and it affects my sudden loss of a decent vertical(by the way I’m only 21 lol).
