Hectic today..so lets cool it down

Scenario:
Your a senior in college, your projected to go number 1 in all the mock drafts, and pre-lottery, your favorite team has the number 1 pick, with a 25% chance of winning, However, they end up losing, and get the 3rd pick overall…ironically enough, the team you grew up hating & cant stand won the lottery..

Do you play for them anyway because you’ll be the number 1 pick?

Do you bash them and pray they dont pick you?

Do you go to the workouts and do bad for every team except you favorite?

Or…other?

IDK….Just bored

i’d be honored to have the chance to be in the nba in the first place….but to go number 1…i wouldn’t care where to go.

i would play for any team, i would rather some more than others but at the end of the day you have to earn your paycheck no matter what team ur on

i think its a given you accept where you go. the lottery is a lottery and you dont get to pick where you go. you play for whatever team picks you and thats it. i think it would be easy to get past the hate part simply becauase the team never did a thing personally to you. but just suck it up and go. just be thankful your the number one. thats what makes sense to me anyway.

but just look at blake griffin though. im sure he didnt want to go to the clippers and would have loved OKC but thats how the cookie crumbles

another thing to think about is getting picked a lot lower than many mock drafts and everything. many people take it to heart to prove people wrong and end up much better i think because of that. look at arenas, brook lopez, paul pierce. I think all these players are better because they were not picked as high. i also think blare will be added to this list soon

between 1’s paycheck and 3 is too much for me to ignore. I need to be set. I’ll play for them, hopefully it all goes well…Playing in the NBA is a dream.
Ask Paul Pierce, he hated the C’s and loved the Lakers, he dealt with it though.

I don’t think the Spurs (least favorite team) will be getting the first pick anytime soon but I guess I would have to play with them and bail after a few years.

You can always play like crap for the team that drafted you so you can get traded to another team.
