thetrademachineryParticipantBargnani to Clippers how does that sound? Actually people are talking about Griffin to play C. Well, to me it is better they play with Bargnani, use him as a floor spacer C.
Once Bargnani gets his confidence back he can be a 20 5 guy.
Stephenson’s immense rebounding ability will cover his rebounding weakness.
Paul Reddick Stephenson Griffin Bargnani
What do you think?

high floorParticipantReplace DeAndre with Bargnani? That would be a hard sell to the Clipper fan base. All the positive things Bargs would provide with floor spacing would be negated X2 on defense

Jr. ROXASParticipantBargnani’s good, but not a good fit alongside Blake honestly. I thought Mcgee would have been the best fit for them.

herceg_bukuParticipantthere is no way you can replace DeAndre with Bargniani. DJ is a beast on the boards and shot blocking. However, as much as of a beast that he is that team was very limited and never got too far with their pieces that they had. I really do think they are trying to spread the floor with 5 guys that can shoot both mid range and long range and as well most importantly free throws, one aspect that DJ is brutal at.
I think it may end up being very intresting but it seems to me they wanna run and jump shoot. Seems like teams are moving away from traditional big men because GS won the title, but when Spurs win it in this coming up season with traditional big men, everyone is going to want to follow their recepie. I feel that teams bandwagon and go towards styles that most recently win a title, teams need to do what works for them and what they can gel with and become better as a team from.

dmo21ParticipantWhy not try to get both Bargnani and McGee ( I don’t know if they’d have the money for that though). But each brings a different skill set (blocking/shooting) and then you can play to the matchup. Both will work with Griffin as a floor spacer will provide more driving lanes for Griffin (plus he’s a good passer and could hit Bargnani spotting up) while McGee would help him more on defense with his shot blocking that can cover Blake’s weaknesses. IF Bargnani is motivated, he can be a pretty good player (I’m a Raptors fan and have seen his up and down play) that can actually play adequate post defense while being a shooting/driving threat from the 3 point line.

SpinCycle88ParticipantI don’t feel confident with this being a good season for the Clippers honestly….. Way too many question marks. Bargnani is not coming in and averaging anything close to 20 ppg, let’s get that out the way. Doc and Chris really have their work cut out for them this upcoming season.

Stop_basketball_nonsenseParticipantI know clipps needs bigs &,I’m all about every team improving so I got 2 trade ideas.
1. Ctawford& the 2016 1st round pick for milwaukee’s: zaza, plumlee & on mayo
2 Crawford for Atlanta’s: tiago splitter not sure how the hawks feel about trading him right after they have aquiref him, but they did just sign Walter tavares, & in my opinion with Carroll’s departure they need some scoring to stay around the top of the east.

robertsallParticipantThe original poster here should be banned for thinking Bargnani as a Clippers Center has any merit.

Tune SquadParticipantI think everyone needs to keep in mind that the Clippers are not trying to replace DeAndre Jordan with equal value, rather they are going to need to do a patch job at center to stay in the playoff hunt.
I think Dmo is on to something with them signing both Bargnani and McGee and at least having a couple guys with size that can come in based on the match up. If you look back at the greatest team in the past 30 years the Bulls of the 90’s they had Longley and Wennington lol…I mean the Clippers just need someone with length to give fouls to the Duncan’s and Gasol’s etc for now and when they play a team like the Warriors then they can let Blake match up with Draymond if they go small.
Maybe at the trade deadline or next offseason they go after a better big if one is available but for now they need to just grab a couple of warm bodies that fit their plans.
