Bargnani might have turned down more money from the Kings to sign with the Nets.  I guess he saves some money on moving van costs now, staying in the same city as he goes from a Knick with a giant contract to a Net on a minimum deal.

So many questions, he said he wanted to go to a contender, not sure the Nets equal that.  Do the Nets have any defense at center or power forward, except for some blocks by Lopez?  Why didn’t New York keep him at that price, they are running out of tall bodies as Smith and Aldrich might have left, although they do have their own Lopez.

For those who liked RHJ and his defense there, the Nets do have plenty of player who like to score so he could be very valuable and play a lot.

The Nets got a bargain signing, I just didn’t see anything linking him to them and it is a surprise.

Maybe he signed because the Nets have a much better roster? Also , The Knicks don’t have a Center. I am sure Bargs, just like LaMarcus AL, doesnt want  play without a Center.  That was big factor in L.A. not wanting to come to NY.

Yeah don’t the Knicks have their 4-5 set now with Lopez and Porzingas? If Porzingas isn’t a regular minute guy this year, Melo always plays 4. Either way, Porzingas should play alot given the Knicks aren’t some contending type team that has SO much talent that they can afford to stash him on the bench.

Bargnani isn’t good. He’s one of the worst players in the league. He can shoot and he’s tall. That combination stopped guarenteeing guys minutes a while ago. The Nets aren’t going to be good. They might not be a bottom 5 team in the league, but this signing is so irrelevant, I’m surprised anybody has anything to analyze about it in the first place. Its a blah move imo.

Hence the "minimum" contract.  However the Nets will still make the playoffs a 7 or 8 seed ( if they dont go into tank mode and give away Joe Johnson). Yes, the east is that bad!

I’m not sure if any other team was interested besides the kings, so with this assumption in mind, he said he wanted to go to a contender but the Nets are the only other team who offered him a contract?

Also it is funny how a player can go from extremely overrated contract wise to almost underated contract wise in a summer.

He’s not a bargain. He’s the kind of guy who ruins your team, not a good attitude, doesn’t care about winning. Roster spots shouldn’t be given away. 15 roster spots is not that much when you play 10 guys a game, and you’re gonna spend it on a no rebound,no defense player? Who has a bad attitude? That’s ridiculous.
