FastAndFuriousParticipantNever work…….
So for all the dreamers thinking that these combinations will work:
Rose/Wade
Lebron/Wade
Lebron/Joe Johnson
Wall/Rose
Harris/Wall
Wall/Wade
Johnson/Wade
Etc…It would never work all these players are succesful because they have the ball in there hands 75-80 percent of the time.
The only possible tandem I could see is Lebron/Rose but that would never happen.
What do you guys think?

IndianaBasketballParticipantActually… I think a LeBron and Johnson could work. I also think a Wade and Johnson could work.
Johnson played off the ball in Phoenix. He’s very versatile. There’s not much he can’t do offensively… Defensively he can defend the perimeter and the post.

quinceyhodgesi dont believe in never working for alot of reasons. one of which is the olympic team which is filleed with guys who all liek to play wih the ball in there hands. anythign can work as long as the players are willing to share..think of other combos
bird/mchle/parrish
pippen/jordan
kidd/jackson/mashburn ( didnt work for personal reasons)
magic/kareemas long as they dont mind sharing then they can work. if 3 hall of famers can work i dont see why 2 allstars cant

tonyl33ParticipantI personally think JJ will be able to play with anyone. His ability to play on or off the ball is just as good. JJ can be a catch and shoot player if needed, via Phoenix with Nash and currently with Bibby on the Hawks. Yeah he has the ability to dominate the ball at times but that doesn’t mean he can’t play off the ball. JJ is good enought to play a SG/PG role and is very very dangerous.

DanEboyParticipantyoungdave…..why would you think a Rose/LeBron combo would work but not a Rose/Wade? What is the logic?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/01/2010 - 8:51am #261731

the I in winParticipantA.) all of them could work if the players wanted to win more than they wanted to shoot.
B.) Joe Johnson would work in either situation he is in, he is a very good spot up shooter but isn’t limited to that.0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/01/2010 - 8:58am #261734

GreenLanternParticipantI actually think Rose would work with any of the above because even though he is ball dominant, he is very unselfish. Rose only scores because he HAS to on the current Bulls squad. A lot of people have been waiting on Rose to start dominating the ball the way he has been the last couple months.

Champzilla21ParticipantI personally think the best combo you could put out their would be Deron Williams And Lebron. They would compliment eachother so well

knicksfan7ParticipantGoing back to my father’s days, but if Walt Frazier and Earl Monroe worked well together as well as winning a championship together then anyone of those combos should be able to work. It is all about checking your ego’s at the door, and if it’s for a ring I can guarantee you almost every nba player will do that.

FastAndFuriousParticipantI think a Rose/Lebron would work better than A Wade/Lebron for the simple fact I truley believe if Rose is playing with someone as great as Lebron he would feed him the ball as much as possible, and in clutch situations Rose would let Lebron go to work. Where as Lebron/Wade combination, Wade would want the ball in the clutch just as much as Lebron would and I would see them bumping heads plus both are big time scorers.

the I in winParticipantthe olympic team worked because all but one game was a blow out and they still had problems with deron williams (said he hates not playing point).

quinceyhodgesim guessing that was just talk cuz dwill has said he loves being a pg many times when i was staying in utah. liek someone else said it works if people checks there egos at the door which i think all the players will because of the goal of winning a title. there have been better combos who have won titles before because they had the same goal in mind. im sure neither would mind if the other took the winning shot because they had the greatest mismatch. peopel forget that lebron used to get flake because he would pass up the big shot in order to get it to the open man. throughout his career including hs he has shown he has no problem passing the ball at the last sec. peopel say alot of these combos wont work but no on comes up with any evidence of why. wade has never shown that hes a selfish player and neither has lebron. both have to score or handle the ball becaus thats what there team has called for. both have said they would love to play together. the one max player i see who would have a problem would be bosh. he has said plenty of times that whereever he plays at he is the number one option. hes said he is not a second option at all

FastAndFuriousParticipantYea everybody says they would love to play together then when they sacrifice there numbers and still don’t win a championship, thats when problems arise.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/01/2010 - 11:50am #261789
quinceyhodges^exactly..when it doesnt work out then the problems start..but thats everywhere. like if a star breaks his leg the team wont win its pretty much common knowledge
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/01/2010 - 12:16pm #261800

FastAndFuriousParticipant^^ Exactly who is saying it’s a SURE thing Lebron/Wade would win a title, I mean i’m not a dummy I would put all my money on them to win the title if they hooked up, but once they don’t win it the problems will start to occur and one of them will be leaving that’s a guarantee, somebody is only going to sacrifice for so long.
How do you think Wade would feel if the coach told Lebron your getting the ball at the end to win us the game and vice versa? They’d be pissed and that’s the truth anybody with as much talent as those guys sometimes feel they can do it all by themselves, man i’m telling you it wouldn’t be as smooth as yall think.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/01/2010 - 12:37pm #261805

UKWildcat_11ParticipantI think Wall/Lebron would work…Wall is just as unselfish as Rose is.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/01/2010 - 12:41pm #261808
quinceyhodgeswe dont know if they would be pissed or not and honestly do you think the coach would tell them who gets the ball or ask them who wants it…i think its alot more likely that he ask them
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/01/2010 - 2:05pm #261826

knicksfreakParticipantI know it was just an all-star game but Lebron and Wade seemed very comfortable sharing the ball then.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/01/2010 - 2:28pm #261831

DanEboyParticipantyoungdave!!! you didn’t answer my question in your reply. I asked why do you think Rose/Wade wouldn’t work, not LeBron/Wade. I think Wade is a very unselfish player and Rose would be more then willing to defer to Wade. That would be one hell of an attacking backcourt. Deng would be the most open man in the NBA!
