bball_genious85ParticipantWhere is he on the mock draft I think by the end of the year he will pass john wall. He is just as athletic and can shoot and lock people up he reminds me of westbrook with a jumper. If he shows he’s a true point does he have a chance to go #1? U can’t really go wrong with either its like rose and westbrook he should at least be n the lottery

jeff416ParticipantI think he will have a good year at Texas and win Freshmen of the year. But I dont know how much of a shot he has at the #1 pick it just depends on what he and Wall do in college but he will be in the lottery for sure.

blackflash234ParticipantAvery Bradley reminds me of Russell Westbrook and Monta Ellis.

lalailaParticipantThe mix betweem them, Montas offence and bad all-around, WEstbrook’s D and Bayless’ shooting..all in all, another flashy athletic combo, and ppl don’t love them but more and more going to be real deels
easily lottery pick next year

getacombthere is no way he could be the #1 pick, over wall or favors. i love avery’s game and athleticism, but i dont see his stock rising that high

quincey hodgestheres always a way if a player doesnt play as well as expected..see bj mullins who was a lock for top 2 before his season started..most of the times when a player i in the mock draft as number one before the start of the season they drop before the season ends..i remeber being on here before roses season and no one on here or other mock drafts had him number 1,2 or 3.

td8118ParticipantI agree, I think he will have the best freshman year of anyone, but in the draft, scouts look at potential over production and he will not be able to overtake Wall
0 - Posted on: Wed, 10/14/2009 - 7:28am #221635
jeff416ParticipantHe could it just depends on how Wall and him play this year. Wall could suck it up or have a bad injury. Or Bradley could have a Durant/Beasly type of season and pass Wall.

quincey hodgesexactly jeff..there are no definates in college basketball esspecially as a frehman…im curious to see what everone says if wall doesnt play as good as they think…will they blame the coach or system or player son the team like people did with jru holiday?

FastAndFuriousParticipantJohn Wall Is The #1 Freshman In The Nation PERIOD!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 10/14/2009 - 11:23am #221714

JNixonParticipantYea I dont believe that a team will pick Bradley over Wall for the 1st pick. The only player with a legit chance is Derrick Favors, and that’s because alot of the projected lotto teams dont have a PG need. Bradley might be a tweener in the NBA. I don’t see that happening.

quincey hodgeswall is the most hyped freshman period thats true..im not ready to give him number one for a couple reasons. hes not the concensous number one in all the final rankings..bradley in number one in some and favors i in others. head to head its been said avery gets the best of him the times they play because of avery’s defense and strength and the fact wall has no jumper. also because of the fact avery lead his team to number in the nation which is very important when you can be a good player as well as make a team very good where as walls teamdidnt even finish top in his state. plu the fact wall had five years in hs and im gussing if avery had another year in hs this year he would be hyped. i do think wall has more potenial because hes more of a pg right now but ill take bradley as the better player right now..just my opinion

JNixonParticipantIt doesn’t really matter who was number 1 in the rankings…that’s a pretty much irrelevant thing to bring up when determining who’s going to get picked 1st in a draft. When has anyone said, “We’re going to pick him because he was the no.1 player in all the recruiting services websites”?
There have been plenty of times were a player outmatched a player that ended up being more successful in the long run: Examples Julius Hodge v. Chris Paul in 2005 ACC Championship (And yes, Hodge played PG that season due to injury), Brian Zoubek vs. Earl Clark in the State championships in HS…
It doesn’t matter who’s the best player right now since the draft is in June. Mike Beasley was a better player than Rose was before and during the 2007-2008 season and Kevin Durant was better than Greg Oden in the 2006-2007, but look who was picked 1st in both drafts.

quincey hodgesi agree..although everyone knew oden was gonna be the number one pick..its alot like lebron..everyone knew there was no chance that they wouldnt be number one pick..durant had the bet year you could possibly have almost and oden still went number one..wall isnt in that class

AirJuggernauthe sure ain’t. All he is is a 5th year senior. More developed than his peers near the age of 19 in high school. I think its weird. I think he’s a little sketchy..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqR0Hy1c6woMy only question if he ever develops a jump shot is he a full-time SG or what?

jeff416ParticipantYeah he is a year older than everyone so that helped him in high school alot. I think he is a little overrated just because of how highly rated he is I think he will be a good NBA player but not sure if he can live up to all the hype. Most people thought OJ Mayo would be the #1 pick and best freshmen and even though he had a pretty good Freshmen year Beasly and Rose both played better in college. I think Wall might be like OJ and be a better NBA than college player dont forgett OJ looked a little bit more physically dominate because he was older high school player to. It should be interesting to see how he plays this year and see who is the best Freshmen.

lalailaParticipantDO you really guys talking about #1 pick..
I showed some love for Avery earlier but if we are talking about 1st pick I would show no love for him..man A.I. if i’m not wrong was only combo-guard selected 1st, i don’t think he is in that mega-star’s category…
if Avery could be 1st then Willie Warren is true contender(and i’ll keep telling you that he is underrated, and nobody there talks about him) and I asked one hoopsworld.com guy in chat, and he said he like Warren as 1st pick for sure.

MkadozaParticipantBradley has more Bayless in his game than Westbrook. Despite what people say about Westbrook not being a true point, he’s unselfish, makes good passes, and can absolutely shut down opposing points. Bayless still has a habit of putting the blinders on when attacking the basket. Bradley has to show the ability to run a team and get his teammates involved, not just creating offense for himself and dishing if he’s double teamed.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 10/15/2009 - 10:40am #221947

JNixonParticipantI don’t see Bradley as a PG anyway, I think Bradley is similar to Westbrook in his college days though. With a mix of Monta Ellis.

AirJuggernaut= Jerome Dyson
0 - Posted on: Thu, 10/15/2009 - 2:34pm #222014

JNixonParticipantI don’t see that all…Ellis is an elite scorer and a electrically quick player. Dyson doesn’t really stand out to me as an elite scorer or mid-range player like Ellis, and he doesn’t have his physical tools.

Michael.S.ParticipantThe guy is a Jerryd Bayless clone! Don’t think that’s a good thing either
0 - Posted on: Thu, 10/15/2009 - 2:38pm #222016

MagikKnickParticipantA rich mans Jerryd Bayless, imo
0 - Posted on: Fri, 10/16/2009 - 5:04am #222085

lalailaParticipantDon’t say reach mans when Bayless hadn’t even play yet(his rookie year was like DNP) and there is still lots of ppl who thinks he has star potential, and last night he was good.
PLUS when Bradley gets 20ppg 3rpg 5apg in college then there will be arguments of being better
0 - Posted on: Fri, 10/16/2009 - 9:37am #222127
quincey hodgesi wouldnt say hes a rich man bayles either since he hasnt played a day of college ball but i cant say bayless is dnp because he did play in 53 games..the fact he didnt get much time is his fault.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 10/16/2009 - 10:45am #222154

lalailaParticipantOK, don’t talk about Bayless here, there is other topic
How about Bradleys impact in college?I think 15ppg3rpg3apg2spg in final 4 caliber team would lock him in the lottery(might even in top10)
0 - Posted on: Fri, 10/16/2009 - 10:57am #222159
quincey hodgesarent you the one who even mentioned bayless?..if you mention something about him then its not ok for someone else to mention something if it isnt in agreeance with what you said?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 10/16/2009 - 11:19am #222167

lalailaParticipantI just said I don’t think Avery is rich man’s Bayless
0 - Posted on: Fri, 10/16/2009 - 11:21am #222170
quincey hodgesno you said Bayless hadn’t even play yet(his rookie year was like DNP) and there is still lots of ppl who thinks he has star potential, and last night he was good…..and my sentence with bayless in it was about the same length so i didnt do anythy more different then what you did, just with a different opinion
