Bryant24ParticipantBoth austin and bradley are in top 10 in 2011 in espnu 100 austin is the number 1 sg and bradley is number 2 both of them can shoots the light outs austin is a good defender when he attempts to hold defense bradley has long arms and from the games I seen him play he can really hold defense austin is the better scorer in my opinion bradley is no slouch either austin is the better driver to the hoop bradley relies to much on his jumper.
who wins tonite austin team or bradley team?
who is the better prospect?
who has the better game?

OhCanada-ParticipantAustin Rivers is the better prospect but I think Bradley Beal wins. I wish I could watch this so badly.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 1:05pm #363782

WrecklessParticipantBradley Beal has a big body and can drive to the paint at will, and he has a nice jumpshot. He isnt athletic though. He is also a capable defender.
But Rivers is better, When rivers is hot, you can’t stop em. His jumpshot is crazy good, and will only improve.

Bryant24Participantwhen bradly beal drives he is effective but he has the tendency to rely on his jumper to much.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 1:06pm #363790

WrecklessParticipantSo does Rivers. But its typical, since there still young.

stanford hoopsAustin goes to the whole alot. Unlike beal Austin doesn’t just rely on him jumper. He goes in for dunks and floaters. That’s why he gets to the line alot

Bryant24Participantyeah wreckless u do have a point austin is my favorite prospect in the class and i thank he is the number 1 player hands down but he ahs alot to work at before he goes to the next level he need to drive to the basket more become a better defender become a better playmaker becaue he will be a short 2 at the next level so he need to work on his pg skills and he need to learn to drive left and learn how to use his left hand

JNixonParticipantI’ve never seen Beal play before. This should be a good game. Think they’ll matchup with each other?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 1:24pm #363806

Bryant24Participantthey shou;d iggy if they good compeitiors the will but im not sure i seen bradley play twice from what isee he can hold some good d i hope they defend each other though

stanford hoopsWas that branch who said one if the teams look like a Hugh division one team. Lol. They kill me when they exaggerate

stanford hoopsThese refs should have been reding the NBA summer leauge. They letting them
play here instead of calling every touch foul in the book.0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 1:37pm #363816

JNixonParticipantThey are letting them play lol…”No blood no foul”
That Rivers alley was pretty nice, showed he can get up there if he has to. Deceptive athlete
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 1:38pm #363817
stanford hoopsI’m guessing u never seen Austin play much Bryant. He has pretty good pg skills. Good vision and sick handles
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 1:41pm #363821

JNixonParticipantTrevor Lacy reminds me of Alonzo Gee a little. He’s got raw scoring ability, and he’s a strong athlete with a mature frame. He should be a solid 3 or 4 year player at Alabama.

Bryant24Participantdid yall see that dunk by ben mclemore

stanford hoopsWow Ben mc

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantWhat does it say that Beal is guarding Rivers but Rivers isn’t guard Beal?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 1:47pm #363825

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantBTW, Austin….Come to Duke.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 1:50pm #363827

JNixonParticipantOH MY GOD…..That dunk was stupid.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 1:52pm #363830
stanford hoopsIt says that’s a better match up for there team while the other team thinks it’s a better match up for them to have someone else Check veal and let Austin Rome a lil. So far it seems to be working because they are up eight
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 1:53pm #363831

Bryant24Participantstandford hoops i seen autsin rivers play plenty of times but he usually off the ball and lok to score first and pass only when his teammate is open by watching this game he is a better passer than i thought he might can play pg at the next level
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 1:59pm #363841

Demarcus OnealParticipantBeal has a better team so he wins but Rivers is a better player so he wins the head to head matchup
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 2:09pm #363848

JNixonParticipantBeal can’t handle the ball…He needs to work on creating for himself, whether its a 2 or 3 bounce pull-up or making a move and then driving. He reminds me of a young James Anderson
Roosevelt Jones will be solid for Butler. He’s a tough and gritty player who makes smart plays and doesn’t play flashy. Perfect.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 2:12pm #363850
stanford hoopsWhen people see a good scoring guard they automatically question if they can play the point. He can play the point no problem but he can also score. Same as curry and same with some who think Shelby or knight aren’t pg because they are good scores. People would say the same about kyrie if gilchrist and other scoters weren’t on his team
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 2:14pm #363854

JNixonParticipantLacy plays just like Alonzo Gee did! It’s crazy. And they’re both going to Alabama. Lacy made an NBA caliber turnaround jumper just now. He has some nice, but raw scoring tools. He needs to pass a little more. He can dribble too much at times.
0- Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 2:17pm #363856

Bryant24Participantlacy not going to alabama he is from alabama he hasnt commited to any school yet go lootk at espnu basketball recruting if you dont believe but he might go to alabama since he is from there

stanford hoopsDoesn’t look like beal has the better team
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 2:19pm #363858
stanford hoopsYeah he does. That turnaround wasn’t a good shot though. But it went in that’s all that counts
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 2:20pm #363859

JNixonParticipantYeah they said he was FROM Alabama. Good looking out lol. Coach Grant should scoop him up
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 2:23pm #363860

Bryant24Participantyeah lacy has the tools to be a great scorer in college he can drive to the hoop very good go left or right and has a pretty decent jumper and shooting form
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 2:23pm #363861
stanford hoopsHe plays like my boy Brian brown who went to Ohio state. Lacy plays just like him
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 2:34pm #363867

JNixonParticipantComer is going to be a nice little mid-major PG at FAU with Mike Jarvis.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 2:39pm #363870

Bryant24ParticipantYeah comer is a good point gurad he always looking to pass keeps his head up and can really handle the ball him and rivers play together at winter park high school in flordia #15 adam jones do to you can see the chemistry from the 3 of them

knicksfan7ParticipantMy analysis on this game
The Austin Rivers vs Bradley Beal matchup did not live up to the hype. I liked what I saw from Ben McLemore and Trevor Lacy show, both played well.
Rivers is a smart player, but he was not balanced at all on his jumpers. Some of those Jumpers were OFF badly. I am not worried though, he will come back.
Bradley Beal needs to work on his handles all day every day b/c he lacks the ability to create for himself.
Ben McLemore, he raised his stock this game very good athlete and can shoot a little. AWESOME DUNK!!!!
Trevor Lacy, very good scorer who needs to work on his shot a little bit, likes to slash a little too much where teams will just clog the paint on him.
Ben Comer, I like this guy a lot, and I think once he gets to college he will make a name for himself. I like his passing abilities a lot where if he continues to improve I can see him in the top 5 in the country in APG during his JR season.
Roosevelt Jones, played defense very well, perfect Brad Stevens player. He is going to cause fits for top offensive players in the Horizon.

CelticJayhawkParticipantMclemore is going to Kansas, mark it down..he’s been a heavy KU lean for a while.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/27/2010 - 3:41pm #363906

JNixonParticipantHe plays like Brandon Rush too, pre-injury. He would be a solid fit for KU.
