jaysmith1987ParticipantThis guy is having a really good season if he has a good tourney its possible he gets drafted in the second round and make a team based on his skill. He is a great shooter. The knock on him is he undersized and not that great of an athlete. To me he looks like Eric Gordon minus the athleticism.

hiphopismylifeParticipantYeah he’ll get a shot. I don’t know that anybody pulls the trigger and actually drafts him, but he will definitely get looked at for his strength and shooting ability. Actually not a bad leaper either. I remember him having good stuff in the McDonald’s dunkk contest in ’07.

dude1955ParticipantVeteran…lol…ok the object of the game is to put the ball in the whole and he does so in the BIG EAST Conference. So what about perceived athleticism its about production..oh and BTW hes a year older than Fab Melo, and its so about "potential" right? Man if a guy puts up numbers in that conference it has to stand for something.

stanford hoopsHe’s got a shot to get into the first round according to at least 3 scouts (okc, suns, spurs scouts) And at a legit 6’5 in shoes hes a pretty good size for a shooting guard. Could stand to lose some weight which he will once he prepares for the nba workouts. He should be a rich mans Keith Bogans (also a Dematha/maryland product)

JNixonParticipantHe’s grown on me. I think he’ll get a chance, but I see him as a 2nd round pick at best. I do think he’s similar to Keith Bogans, although not really all that close as good a defender.

scoutguruParticipantAgree dude1955. Putting up the number he has in the Big East is nothing to scoff at. People don’t understand how hard it is to produce at that high of a level in this conference. Been productive since arriving at Georgetown and his %’s are nothing short of remarkable. Still has a shot to get the Big East POY award, cause he may still end up putting up better numbers than Kemba in conference play and could stand to win more games with a more veteran team.
Not saying he’s a first rounder, but he definitely have a shot to make it. And if not, he’ll be playing pro ball making mega bucks, he’d be a star in Europe if it games to that, he’s game fits perfectly over there with his frame to take the physical play, and his shooting ability.

afree15ParticipantI have been an avid fan of Georgetown since 2007 season when Jeff Green and Roy Hibbert were dominating the Big East. I have watched basically ever Georgetown game that has been broadcasted since then. Let me tell you something. Austin Freeman is the real deal. Best jump shot in the country (I am not kidding) his form is so perfect and it seems like he never misses because he is so efficient. Now he may not be the fastest but his finishing ability around the rim is actually quite under rated. Yeah in the NBA it would be tougher for him to get to the basketball but when he gets out in space he is very dangerous because he is incredibly balanced and strong. In my opinion he should be drafted mid to late 2d round. I know that he will probably never been an NBA superstar but I do believe he has the potential to be somewhat like a guard version of James Posey. Come off the bench play 20 minutes or so and score about 10 points. And the guy can handle the ball and is very smart. In the first 6 games of this season he only had 4 turnovers.
