bobbybParticipantDamn maybe the Lakers are reading the Nbadraft.net threads. It looks like Agent 0 will get a workout afterall. The need him in the worst way. Even if he is a shell of his former self. Look at the Lakers bench production. Do you want to rely on Andy Goodluck, i mean Goudelick, or whatever? Murphy lost his outside shot. Kapono still has his shot but, he cant open without being next to a slasher. McRoberts can finish at close range but he needs someone to set him up.
This should be an easy deal, here is the check list
#1, Gil, you know that you will be coming off the bench right??
#2 Gil , you know that you will be getting whatever min deal we can offer right??
ok now run 2 laps around the track, if you are still standing upright, sign these papers

PabloFiascoParticipantHe already cashing checks from Orlando..$62 million…he might as well play for free. But yea the Lakers need this another ball handler that can create his own shot besides Kobe

KayjayParticipantYou guys are all sold on Gil. And I can see why, but let me tell you something.
1. This is no where near the same Arenas he was early in his career.
2. In this shortened season, not only was he not playing, who knows if he’s in game shape let a lone in shape at all.
3. Weren’t the magic patient with him last season waiting to see if he would pan out, and yet he never did?
I’m just saying it can’t hurt, but I just think its taking on another bad contract. But hey, its an upgrade over what ever else the Lakers have on the bench…I guess.

QuickPostCParticipantArenas can get his own shot……..now the quality of that shot? Thats the question……
In Orlando he specialized in shooting three pointers that didn’t go in.

CodySLCParticipantProbably wont make a hung impact, but he should be a big help at pg. He’s going to get some good looks playing with Kobe, Bynum, and Gasol.

bobbybParticipantHe should be the 6th man, he wont help if he takes Fishers spot. He needs to be that instant offense when the starters go to the bench. Even if he isnt the same, they need something from the bench. I look at the boxscore and it is only big 3
