I saw this thing on ESPN & Real GM discussing NY and how they may not be ready for LBJ but will target Carmelo and Durant in 2011 and Paul and Williams in 2012.

It made me think : Are the Knicks ready for 2010? My answer was no. I think the Knicks would be better off targeting someone like Bosh or Stoudemire in 2010 and maybe Carmelo in 2011. I think the Knicks are on the upswing and if Gallanari, Lee (who they may resign), Hill, Douglas and Chandler show improvement, The Knicks maybe getting someone in 2010 and 2011

Seems to me like the Knicks would try to get a high pick for 2010 draft because it is going to be so strong. They should just try to build around their young core, keep their good players, try to grab a point guard who can run the system, and hope to see some improvement. If they could snag a prime time player like Wall or a shooting big like Donatas Motiejunas this team could be special by 2012.

Knicks will be pretty good and they will probably buy a late first if they can get a good player. The free agent pool is looking nice with all this talent coming in from drafts. Only a few players can get max deal everyone else is getting crubs. Also Knicks should be okay. People don’t understand that this franchise for all their year go through ups and downs and this will be on the up. The Knicks are not the LA Clippers, they are normally good and have some bad times but now they will be back to where they should.

Joe Johnson would be nice. He could play the 2 next to Sessions. We have Chandler at the 3. Lee at the 4. A new and improved Darko at the 5. A bench of Hill, Douglas, Galinari and some vets. Knicks may save some money for the following year or else they could have two stars Joe Johnson and someone else.

Dhamp do you remember when your Denver nuggers were not that good, every team has a turn around, the only team i know in the NBA that has seemed to always suck except for a few times is LA Clippers. Every other team has had peaks and valleys. Bobcats hve not been in the league enough to put them out there. Toronto has been bad and sometimes good. Memphis had like 2 or 3 good season with Hubie Brown running them. GSW has a good season every now and then but were pretty good in the Webber Hardaway days. Knicks are due for a turnaround and the one thing that kept them from it is almost over. They will finally have money. Also Walsh is not making stupid moves like some of his former Gm’s.

Dajuan Summers was a 2nd round pick in a weak draft or so they say. I think it was average. If Knicks can get someone of quality in the second round, that would be nice.

I actually don’t know how you feel about him. But I’ll go.

Tracy was a junior in highschool and basically no one in the basketball world had heard of him. In one year, he went from obscurity to the next Kobe Bryant, due to his performance at Nike camp in 1997. He was drafted by Toronto as a DEFENSIVE player, but he didn’t get a long with his coach, who told him he would last three years in the NBA.
McGrady was often overshawdowed by his teammate and far distant cousin…..Vince Carter. He later signed a big contract with Orlando, where he was supposed to team with Grant Hill, but unforutnately, Hill was hurt year after year. What suprised many people was in Hill’s abscene, he began to put up major numbers; at which point he was no longer overated. I could go on, but this was a warm up question to get my juices flowing.

Sup Dhamp, I am sorry I was out for a moment but you seem to forget that T Mac had a good last year with toronto and was supposed to be like a MJ/ Pippen combo with Vince. Vince wanted to be the top dawg but TMac could have over shadowed him if given equal opportunity. Also you forgot to mentioned that they used him as a point guard in the way of Penny for some games because they saw playmaking ability in him. Early on he started to regret his desison to come out but that later changed when he had some success. Also I think he went to Mt Zion or St Zion. He and Duncan were supposed to rejuvenate the Magics but Duncan stayed with San Antonio though but that deal was close. The went after Hill but Hill was injuried most of the year. T Mac probably would still be in Orlando if not for some new Gm for hockey who screw up and traded him only later to regret it. T Mac against the san Antonio Spurs when they were known for defense scored like 12 or 15 point is like 35 minutes. I forget the amount long time ago i saw the game as it was going on I was blessed to start watching the game just at the end to see this all happen. I missed the first 4 second play though. Dhamp I know a lot about every player and most team because i will say i have not watch a lot of team as they are now so I will not say I know all team but this year I am going to watch every team that I can so that I know what they run and other tidbits. I was going to school originally to be a Kiniesiology major so that I can coach basketball. I take this seriously but i have been slacking as far as I used to be. Hit me up with some more because this if fun. I want to see if you can take me to that level. Also a lot of those high school players were unknown for a while Lebron was unknow until he went at Lenny Cooke and made a name for himself only to banish Lenny from the NBA by making him look ordinary.
