CavFanPRParticipantArchie Goodwin’s comparison on this site is Tyreke Evans/Terrence Williams. If he does actually play like them how did he fall so much? Is he one of the many steals of this draft? The suns got two great building blocks if that’s the case.

TheguywithglassesParticipantDoesn’t Have the size as T Will or Tyreke. Doesn’t have the handles of Tyreke, passing ability ot T Will or Tyreke.
Nothing is similar, bad comparison. let’s move on.

CavFanPRParticipantSorry guys, I thought the comparison wasn’t too bad. He does have the same size as T-Will and a larger wingspan and also played some point from Kentucky. Not a bad comparison, just curious.

SiggyParticipantThey’re all awful decision makers that like to play with the ball in their hands and are worthless without it.
Its not a bad comparison.
Archie doesn’t have their strong builds, he also doesn’t have Tyreke’s shake moves but he does have a better first step and speed in general.0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/29/2013 - 7:05am #809368

BenchWarmerParticipantLess athletic Jr smith. Dies not have the natural playmaking of either of the other two mentioned

Chitown Finest2ParticipantI’m not sold on the comparison either, looks more like a Jamal Crawford without the jump shot. The kid has a very solid handle with a Pro ready crossover to go with elite quickness. Slim frame at 6’4″ or 6’5″ athletic but not the T-will Athleticism

4thewinParticipantHe has similarities to Rodney Stuckey. Both are slashers that are terrible shooters.

ItsRainingNegsParticipantGoodwin is a very underrated prospect. He was an elite iso guard in college as he could get to the lane from the perimeter against every defender he played against with ease. He has great handles. He struggled passing this year but that was more decision making than his ability to pass. He struggled playing point guard but that’s not his position; I’m guessing that since high school he’s been given the ball in halfcourt sets and was free to go one on one. Yes he could have practiced to play PG on his own time but he’s a true shooting guard. I was always impressed with his defense at UK as he had a solid wingspan and footwork. He has a good motor and from what I saw he’s extremely competitive. He can shoot but not well enough for the NBA level and would have been drafted higher next year (probably top 10) if he proved he could consistently shoot in game.
Pretty much the sum is that once he gets his shot down he’s going to be a starting shooting guard for a team someday. He has elite driving ability, though he could finish at the rim better, and plays good defense. His shooting, free throw shooting, and pressure passing are the only real concerns as of now. He’s a project but going to the Suns will be perfect for him as he will have the time that he needs to develop. I don’t have a player comparison for him but he and Len will be solid starters for them in about 3 years.
