That’s a big if man. I like his potential, but developing an offensive game is very difficult. I don’t like the risk there, because he’s basically a 19-year-old Kenneth Faried that can kinda make 3s. He’s got a lot of potential, and I’d probably like him more if it weren’t for the people saying he’s a Top 5 lock, but that’s what I think. He has the ability to start now, but I wouldn’t use a lottery pick on a guy whos position isn’t known if I had a pick in the Top 8.

I can see him as a Blake Griffin type player with better defensive potential if he develops properly (improving his offensive game). I don’t think he’ll develop quite as quickly as Blake did, but I can definitely say it will be lob city from day one whoever drafts him.

The position thing is so different nowadays that to use it to bump a players draft stock is pretty silly at this point. The amount of small lineups and hybrid lineups used in todays NBA is more common place than traditional line ups. You’re telling me Gordon can’t guard Terrence Jones, Shawn Marion, Harrison Barnes or Shane Battier in small ball lineups? I beg to differ. The kid has excellent foot speed and I think he can play a lot of the 3 position in the NBA. I sure as hell would take him, his potential and his motor before guys like McBuckets or Anderson or Ennis.

Gordon will hit threes and Faried wont. Gordon has a much greater IQ and passing ability over Faried. I see a far more skilled player.

I see him as a Marion type. He’s never going to be known for creating his own shot or for others, but will do all the intangibles and create offense off hustle. Most likely won’t be a multiple time all star like Marion or even average 20 10 like Marion did I Phoenix, but still could be a very effective player for 12-15 years.

Aaron Gordon is great on defense and nothing amazes me more than his athletic prowess over others. Also he can handle the ball he has demonstrated He is averaging almost 4 assists in the tourney per game and he is handling the ball very good his passes have been good.I love his game and where do i picture him in 5 years well if he keeps this up and gets on a great team in the NBA he can become the Scottie to Michael. He is Robin to Batman.

Anymore a project than some of these top guys? Yes his free throw shooting is bad but thats really it. He has nice form on his J and can hit the three. No glaring weakness besides free throw shooting. Watch and study. Don’t get caught up in his dunks. Watch his game off the ball and his high level IQ. He is a smarter player than Wiggins already in terms of D and passing. He has more handle than Wiggins as well. If you see a project your assessment ability are in question. He is as ready for the NBA as any freshmen in this class.
