Why is it that Rose has a higher leadership and defense than Wall? I understand that they could go up as he gets better progressively through the season, but I think the way Wall has led my Cats through some super tough games with some huge shots and getting his team fired up when they’re down deserves to be recognized. And it’s not just on offense; that block he had in the last minute against Vandy was HUGE. I just think he should be a little higher in those 2 categories (Maybe 1 up in ball handling)

I’m kind of a rookie at all this, so please correct me in anyway if I’m wrong about something.

Defensively, Rose was and probably always will be way better on the ball. Wall might be more instinctive, but Rose had better defensive fundamentals.

As far as leadership, it comes down to the way Rose carried Memphis down the stretch run. If Wall puts on that kind of show, I’d expect his scores to rise, too.

Mark me down is a superstar in the NBA, Rose is only an allstar! hoping to make the chicago crowd happy, but he is only an allstar in the weak East. Wall is a frsnchise changing player.

i think rose will prove to be a franchise changing superstar. He is still in his second year and got off to a slow start this year due to injury. I would take rose over wall right now.

John Wall hasn’t played an NBA minute yet… Rose JUST an All-Star? Just you wait… Being an All-Star in just his second year is the next step towards becoming a superstar…

Yeah, Rose is 21 years old and already probably a top-5 point guard. In the last two months, he’s putting up about 22 points per game on over 50 percent shooting, with six assists and four rebounds a game. All this playing for a team whose only other viable offensive threat is a swingman who specializes on handling the ball just enough to negate assist opportunities, then taking mid-range jumpers.

With a real post scorer and reliable 3-point shooter — and I’m talking about guys like Anthony Parker and Paul Millsap, not superstars — he could easily average 8-9 assists per game without dropping his scoring load.

The Bulls are a poorly managed team without the right components, but Rose is a star. He’s a player to build around, and when that happens, he will blossom.

With all that said, I’m not suggesting Wall won’t be a star in his own right. I feel as though he and Rose could actually create a better rivalry than Chris Paul and Deron Williams, as they match up better against each other and Paul’s prime will likely be short because of his size, injuries and reliance on speed.

The beauty is, it doesn’t matter who is better. Rose and Wall are both really special talents. We should be happy we will get to see them develop.
