armchairgmParticipantMikey I am assuming he means Luka Garza since he has been saying he should be in all year.

mikeyvthedonParticipantI did not recall OhCanada- ever fighting for a non-Canadian. Thank you for the clarification. I do definitely see people in the Mock who Garza should be in over. That being said, think you can watch him and realize that while he is incredibly gifted in terms of touch and getting his own offense, his lack of court vision and defensive mobility both really could hold him back at the next level. Still feel like he will be drafted, whereas I could name some people in the 2nd round of the current Mock who I do not feel will be or will maybe go back to school.

OhCanada-ParticipantMikey. We can do a 55 paragraph essay on his strengths and weaknesses and go blue in the face questioning whether or not he will have enough “lateral quickness” (whatever the hell that means lol) to guard Christian Wood in the NBA. Fact is the guy averaged 24 and 10 for 2 years in the best conference with some good bigs, NBA guys. As a draft site I believe that should at the very least be respected and rewarded with a #60 pick. Just throw his name in there right?
Wait he’s not Canadian? Nevermind. Mods just delete the thread.

RUDEBOY-ParticipantHey don’t 4Get Jordan has a History of Drafting Big Name College Players. I wouldn’t be Surprised if he Charlotte selects Garza . Anyways people always talk about who a player can’t do. Good coaches will use their strengths in a system to utilize their talents.

kikikikiParticipantLuka Garza is Marc Gasol 2.0 if Marc gasol can play in the NBA and succeed I’m Garza can just not as well as Gasol has done!

BothTeamsPlayedHard-ParticipantCan Luka Garza do what Naz Reid has done? Probably. If Luke Kornet can hang around the league as a center who can shoot, do I think Garza coming off a 44% season from behind the arc get that same chance with somewhat more upside because he can beat up undersized second stringers inside? Yes, and I would venture a guess that his name is called on draft night. Is he another Marc Gasol? NO!!! He will not be a three-time All-Star, Defensive Player of the Year, starter on a playoff team for a decade including once on a team that won the title, and someone who has received more MVP votes than Russell Wilson has in the NFL. That will not happen.
