i guess the idea is that minn will end up with stat and that phx would get al jefferson and the 6th pick. if im phx i pull the trigger. even with al coming off acl surgery. hes going to still be a solid guy and then you have the 6th pick and the 14th pick!

Very good trade for both teams, then Minnesota could draft and build around him and Foye. Also, it’s pretty good for Phoenix.

to bad minnesota already turned it down over an hour ago. Minnesota would have got robbed they would have been giving up jefferson and the 6th for one season with amarie.

MIN must think AJ’s knee injury is worse than expected

I don’t see Amare signing an early extension with Minnesota, so what do they gain? They get the 14th pick? I think they could get the 14th for a lot less and they aren’t contenders so Amare for only one year does them no good. I know that Amare would get PAID by Minnesota, more than by anyone else in this scenario just because of the Larry Bird rule. But, I think that he wants to move to a bigger market so he can be a bigger star and Minnesota might not be his first choice.

What is Amare’s injury history again? I mean, hasn’t he had some knee injuries, too? Plus, he has to wear Horace Grant style goggles now to protect his season ending eye injury? Al Jeff is locked up for a little while longer too, isn’t he? It doesn’t make sense to me on Minnesota’s part.

Phoenix should do that in a second, though.

…that Minnesota was the aggressor here. Phoenix turned this down? That makes no sense to me, unless Al Jefferson is DONE. I mean, Phoenix would have the #6 AND Al Jefferson!?!? What the hell are they turning it down for? It seems to me that Amare wants to leave and that Phoenix has Shaq, Nash, and Grant Hill all either out the door as free agents or out of basketball altogether after this upcoming season. That spells rebuilding, to me. Having an All-Star caliber, 20-10 PF in return as well as moving up 8 spots in the draft? Like I said, Al Jefferson’s knee must not look very good right now. Usually guys as young as he is, who play in the post, can overcome an ACL injury. But, maybe his rehab hasn’t gone very smoothly.

This rumor was totally bogus. First of all Jefferson is way ahead of schedule and will be ready to go before training camp. This would be an AWFUL trade for minnesota. No way did twolves offer this or anything close to it. It would be stupid to trade jefferson even straight up for Amare.
