GlenTaylorSucksParticipantEven though Minny traded out, I’m sure Kahn will find a way to work his magic and somehow screw the Wolves’ future up. Watch him do something obnoxiously stupid like give up Nikola Pekovic in a trade-in deal, in which they use the pick to select Perry Jones III.

220Participantmosdef, Jerry West is one of the main factors choosing who you pick. Even if fans are laughing at you today, you’ll get the last laugh tomorrow. Jerry West’s draft record is awesome and I doubt he starts whiffing today unless they go against his advice. I also hear West likes Terrence Ross and Dion Waiters, it’s just a matter of who they take. I wouldn’t be too shocked if they trade down if MKG or Barnes aren’t available at 7.

sheltwon3ParticipantKahn has done enough to redeem himself. I have gotten on him a lot but his hiring Rick Adelman was a great move. Adelman makes team better and as long as Kahn does not got into stupid mode again and just stay with average moves aided by listening to his coach, he will be fine.

For every fantastic move he’s made (which I can basically narrow down to drafting Rubio, lucking out and getting Derrick Williams, hiring Adelman), he’s made at least 5 WTF moves (drafting Flynn, Johnson, not giving Love the max deal, I could name a lot more) to cancel the good ones out.

What The DevilParticipantDoes anyone else have that feeling that their team is just going to totally blow it at draft time? I just get the feeling the Kings will have a very good prospect availible at the 5th pick but instead they will make some chump trade that puts them further back in the draft and bring in a veteran that won’t make them any better….just like last year’s trade….I think Petrie is going to try for a job insurance quick fix rather than building a cohesive team

BasketballGuru24ParticipantI feel like Brian Colangeolo will select a european we never heard of lol but honestly i feel like he’s going to try and trade the pick for an average player, he seriously doesnt want to be part of a rebuilding process

rileymcshea3ParticipantI just hope that if Perry Jones is still there when the Mavs pick comes up they take him because we have no back up sf for Marion and he could back up Dirk .Plus you have a guy that has the potential to become a all star from this area so if Perry Jones is still there at 17 they better take him

JordoParticipantWell i feel like the Wizards are is a good spot. I mean they REALLY want Beal but when MKG and Thomas Robinson are your worst case scenario picks you can’t really be to upset.

river09Participant…. I’m a wolves fan, that feeling is totally natural. That said trading away the 18th pick for Chase Budinger was a really smart move and if they can grab some scrappy player (say Kevin Murphy) in the second round I don’t see how they can select wrong.. Getting rid of the 18th pick also avoided the inevitable drafting of Royce White by David Kahn (which I would have just about killed me, anyone who followed the Royce White U of MN experiment knows what I mean)…

jeff416ParticipantYes, Im a Grizzlies fan, I always feel that way. We have drafted pretty horrible the past few years. Are last four first round picks have been Hasheem Thabeet, Demarre Carrol, Xavier Henry, and Greivis Vasquez. That is just horrible. Hopefully they dont screw it up this year.

NCarmean18ParticipantAs a fan of the Denver Nuggets, I’m really not too worried with who my team will end up drafting. Remember, last year we had a late first round pick and we drafted one of the most productive rookies out there, Kenneth Faried. It seems like we always do a good job with drafting young prospects and making trades, so I really don’t worry about it too much.
That’s being a Nuggets fan, though. I’m sure people who are fans of teams like Portland must be terrified. Brandon Roy and Greg Oden? That was so promising…

benny15Participanti like west’s drafting capabilities also, but lets not put him in a pedestal and say the guy cant make a mistake. remember the 2003 deep draft? he had two first round picks, one at 13 another at 27. he parlayed that into the 16th and 20th pick and ended up with Troy Bell and Dhantay Jones. safe to say there were other prospects left on the board that has carved out better NBA careers, more for Bell than Jones.
personally as a warriors fan, i have them taking Drummond at their pick who could drop and would deal him to the rockets for the 12th and 18th pick which they can turn into Ross and Zeller. i know thats a big drop off from Zeller, but this draft is deep enough to cause such a slide. i think from 14 to 18 will all be bigs, Henson, Moultrie, Jones, Jones and Zeller. it will come down to fits and wheather a team would prefer a higher upside guy or someone who can contribute right away.
