And dont believe this story one bit because coach Cal for one doesnt have to give a player money to come play for him, stars wanna come play for him automatically because he gets them ready for the nba. Secondly anothony randolph is good but hes not Shaq,Jordan,Kobe type good where Kentucky just has to have him.

I was sitting with Reggie Rankin of ESPN Scouts Inc during the game and he was equally as impressed- he couldn’t find a single bad thing to say about the kid! When Ant is the #1 pick I’m going to rub it in your face.

a tweener doesn’t have position…..Davis can play the 2 if he wants at 6-10……so that is more like what I call an old fashioned matchup nightmare…..

I really don’t like Drummond that much, he’s just not assertive enough and he’s to passive. A mean streak is not something than can be learned easily and you kinda need one to play in the NBA. If seen tons of players have a similar skillset and fail because they just don’t have that drive to score and take over.

midwestbbscout, a 6’10" Kentucky recruit projected to play the 4 in college was being guarded in a game by a 6’5" Michigan State recruit projected to be a 3 but currently plays inside because it is high school at there is a lack of height. Like you said though, the 6’10" kid was playing the point because his teammates are let’s just say future frat boys. I’m sure the state contending team from Gary has about as many D1 recruits as any state contending team, which would be maybe two, meaning the rest are not. And you want to make a grand leap that this particular 6’10" beanpole is going to be a top pick. Sorry, but this is why the NBA absolutely had to do away with kids going from high school to the draft. You can’t be making grand proclamations from that for how someone will be at the elite level of basketball. How good was B.J. Mullens in high school to be the top player according to rivals? Wasn’t Ryan Kelly supposed to be good? John Henson? Please go back and read a scouting report of Ater Majok from high school. What about the myth, the man, the legend, the man who can’t play basketball John Riek? Heck, there are people with torches over the fact that Harrison Barnes and Perry Jones didn’t walk on water the moment they stepped onto a college floor. Jim Boeheim went out on a limb and said Fab Melo could possibly be national freshman of the year, and he has been a coach for forty years. He at least looked the part, Davis looks like a gangly kid who in no way will have an easy transition to college, much less the pros. And if you want to look at the list of gangly 6’10" kids who transition seemlessly from level to level, the list begins and ends with Kevin Durant. These aren’t John Walls or LeBron Jameses. Every so often there is someone who is just so physically dominant and impressive at such a young age, you wonder what he is doing out there with those kids.
